The mode Emily creates playing this tired old song is just magical - I keep coming back to it over and over trying to figure out how she makes the notes into music amide the children acting like children. There is a certain un-childlike calmness that pervades her playing that is greatly appreciated by this soul. - Thank you, Emily.
Acho Emily Bear um fenômeno em tudo que toca...adoro ouvir ela tocando quando dirijo, em casa e onde eu estiver!!!!Parabens minha fantástica talentosa.....teca
it is absolutely astounding to be completely shocked with emotion and heart-warmth from a seven year old ... it inspires me to become better as a musician and i don't even play the piano much.... its just amazing to see a little girl play like she has a masters in piano performance ... keep playing Emily
I've never really been very partial to this song, probably I found it too overly sentimental, and this is the first time I've warmed to it. What a superb interpretation. I wish this young lady all the success in the world and look forward to hearing so much more from her in the future. Thanks @TIKTAK190 for posting.
To me, this composition lives in my heart and is equal to any composition ever written. It is "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein, It's Louis Armstrong & Ella on "Summertime" It's J.R.R. Tolkien in the Hobbit and Homer at his best in "The Iliad"
I could go on but you get my drift. I adore "Over the rainbow"
she looks like an angel.. amazing amazing kid, she got a heart in her music.. very deep, as if she has this massive experience where she pulls all the emotion in her art. very profound talent indeed!-- i love this kid and ill never get tired watching her.
To everyone going "oh, I can play that blah blah blah", quit it. I believe you when you say that, I learnt over the rainbow last year for school. But are you 7 or 8 years old? No. I was 13 and it took me a week to learn it. Lay off because I can guarantee you you weren't as good at age 7
Lol, well, you know what I say to that? Off with his head! jk. I was being too harsh with my words in the first place. I am removing my comment as well. I shouldn't have put it in the first place. It was snide. I am sorry. Modeling doesn't have to be a curse...I suppose my thinking was that I had just discovered this little girl and was blown away by her talent and couldn't believe anyone would focus on her looks with talent like that. =) Look, she's bringing people together already. ;-)
in all of her videos i haved watch she has had the some hair style and a headband that matched her dress or skkirt but she is a very good piano player
I have a feeling the Emily Bear will be able to do anything she sets her mind to, from writing symphonies to playing jazz to creating musical scores for movies or broadway. She has the talent and the will and the future will be wonderous.
I know it sounds 'cute' to have her duet with Connie Talbot but I appreciate Emily Bear for her talent and her playing, not for her age and her 'cuteness'. Though you can't help but love her, she's such a sweet girl.
Connie Talbot is a young girl with a very nice voice, but Emily Bear, to me, is in a different class completely.
@Remy16121993 No, she PRACTICES 4 hours a day. That means she practices her assigned pieces. This piece she arranged herself, and she composes her own music, just by thinking about it.
You rock Emily and I enjoy all the styles that you play. I don't think that I've heard anyone else rock out on "Rainbow" and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Love your music and love you! Keep it coming!
twice at Ravinia (a music festival in Chicago) and once at the Coronado theater in Rockford, Ill where she performed Mozart's 23rd concerto and she was brilliant all 3 times
Not really just wanted to stir things up..didn't she do a gig back in march doing Mozart#43 or something..how'd it go? Havent' heard or seen much of her lately.
Actually she played it twice first in Rockford then 2 weeks latter in Champaign, Ill I was at the Rockford concert and she was brilliant and I understand she was even better in Champaign. The concert itself is to long to put on you tube and I won't break it up but I do have one of the encores on you tube... Oh and it is Mozart's 23rd piano concerto K488 she played from memory.
AHH you caught me I didn't think anyone would notice... actually the pictures came out better than the video but it is Emily at the event where she played this song
As usual a faultless performance from a little star. Dont even worry about apologising for the background noise, it was a live show and it adds to the atmosphere. I bet the kids enjoyed it :)
She is really talented

Is this particular version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Emily herself? The left hand parts are very typical of Emily's songs.
