  • tried this in CS and it doesn't work, did they fix it or maybe have i done it wrong?

  • question... how do u do landing recovery?? now wait, when the fuck do i press d when she lands??? i try to do it but can't figure it out... do i press d right b4 she lands??? i am noob so i have no idea wut u r talkin bout when u say landing recovery.. do u have to press sumthin else b4 pressing d??

  • @ninjaboy1111 Late reply but oh well. After you do the jump D really close to the ground, she'll land instead of doing her jump D. But you are still in Drive mode (You know? When she glows blue and all?). Immediately afterwards input any drive attack and she'll doing it. For example Spring Raid.

  • XD Accidentally discovered this technique by myself and I was like O.o! Anyone know of any good vids that show this technique in actual matches?

  • @FohLenEinje1 Personally, I use flash kick to bait my opponents to attack. I'll jump in and use it on them while they ground tech from a BNB combo ending with Bloom Trigger. They'll get hit if they try to mash attack or throw. Use Assault Through in the same manner to bait Dragon Punches, or Distortion Drives. And mix it up by using 6B (Drive) and throw.

  • @guambombboy *Opens up manual, realizes how new it still smells, looked for Flash Kick, ground tech, BNB, 6B....failed*

Aha! After a few minutes of research, I finally get it. So it goes BNB, Bloom Trigger, Jump, then "Cancelled" Flash Kick right?

I've been experimenting a little too. I'm having trouble with Cancelling Bloom Trigger, so I added a 3A before it. I like the way it covers a lot of ground but what do you think? I didn't notice any invicibility frames either. Any thoughts?

  • @FohLenEinje1 BNB combos are Bread and Butter combos which you usually end with Bloom Trigger. I did a slightly shorter version of this combo at 2:02 into this video against Ragna. Bloom Trigger is that last attack you see in her combo. As for 6B, it means to press Forward + B button. If you look at your number pad on your keyboard each number represents a direction (8 is up, 2 is down, 5 is neutral, 3 is down forward, etc). Flash Kick is another name for Spring Raid.

  • Aha~ This should give my sparring partners a run for their money! ;-)

  • Great tut., very informative, I didn't even know this was possible, thanks.

  • Which one of her drives have the most invincibility frames? I would use that as my attack from this cancel as it is safer.

  • 5D - Head attribute invincibility from frames 6 - 19

    6D - Head attribute invincibility from frames 6 - 18

    4D - Above the knee invincibility from frames 1 - 21

    2D - Lower body invincibility from frames 1 - 18

    28D - Completely invincible from frames 1 - 11

    214D - Completely invincible from frames 4 - 18

You can use her 5D to pass through projectiles and many normal attacks. It can be used to go though your opponents bursts and then you can Spring Raid their ass right after it.

  • btw guys, for attacks like spring raid, bloom trigger, and assault through, instead of doing D->236D (for example with bloom trigger), u can just do 236D, timing the D to where u hit he ground and it works too. makes it easier to do those 3 like this.

  • I have enough trouble dealing with Noel and now I found out about this? -_-

  • I just started playing and do not know what her "landing recovery" is :-/.

  • it just means press D the very instant before she touches the ground, its tricky.

  • Many many many thanks!

  • O.O

"rushes off to try it out"

  • nice find man. tried this out in training mode and can almost get it perfect every time. the only thing giving me a lot of trouble is being able to get spring raid out consistently, but im using a fight pad and not a stick so it's really a matter of getting thumbs moving faster.

  • Try buffering it; if you input 2 J.D 8D, and landing-cancel the j.D, Spring Raid should still come out.

  • What do the number stand for? Is 6C forward C? and 214 quarter circle?

  • yeah and quarter circle backward = 214

  • thanks

  • its like the num-pad on a keyboard

    789

    456

    123

    u can imagine the directions like that, 5 = neutral, 6 = forward, 4 = back, 3 = diagonal down-forward, etc

  • Thanks for the video. Just a suggestion, next time could you enable the option that shows what keys you are pressing - would help a lot.

  • Need Help at the combo at 2.05- 2.09 keep missing the part where noel use her leg to kick ragna down i did the first part right but the second keep missing it

  • You gotta slow down. I use to miss it everytime too. After you land the 5D, 6B, you need to hit the rest of them real slow.

    Practice Practice Practice...

  • did you rapid cancel the kick? you had to rapid cancel the kick to recover in time to continue the combo

  • Well, her heat didn't go down, so there was no rapid cancel there. I think she didn't have to move in much because they were at the end of the stage.

  • I can easily do this after a j.C, but I can't at all do it from a normal jump. X_X

    Good find though.

  • how do you get her C foward cancels so good?

  • Practice , try it a lot in training mode.

    Just 6C > BC > 6C > BC > 6C

Another trick is to change the key configuration of triangle ( ds3 ) to BC.

    But R1 works too .

    Practice is the key

  • 5 stars, awesome find!

  • i can't do it... help..

  • Just hit D before you land... If j.D comes out you're doing it too soon, if 5D comes out you're doing it too late.

  • haha seems pretty simple explanation..

BUT. it's very difficult to do...

  • This is REALLY good stuff.

  • Good shit, sir. I'll keep note of this when I start using Noel.
