  • Boy does this bring back memories.I haven't heard this in many ,many years. One of my favorite instrumentals.

  • I remember buying the 45 of this (on Hi records, of course). Willie was a horn player. Does anybody out there know who the guitar player was at this session? Just very curious. Thanks

  • I THOUGHT WILLIE PLAYED THE GUITAR.

  • The trumpet was his main axe; maybe keys and some other horns but I can find nothing written about him playing guitar. I sent a short email to his studio, maybe they'll let me know who it was. Like I said, I'm just curious, no biggie. If they respond I'll pass it along. Maybe this tmerl guy knows (see above post).

  • @raynotpaul you were absolutely correct...Willie played trumpet from age 8...Thanks to you, I learned something new...Don't believe the ole addage, "You can't teach old dogs new tricks". LOL... You just did.... :-)

  • somebody name teene

  • The guitar player is Teenie Hodges, one of the great underrated session men of the memphis scene. He plays on all of Al Green's wonderful late 60s/70s records on Hi Records (co-wrote the classic 'love and happiness' among many others) he is THE MAN
