machi didn't die 'cuz on ep 92 (last episode of hunter x hunter greed island final) the story about the genei ryodan has been discontinued though I'm pretty much assured that kuroro will gain back his nen because of the jyonen they found in the game.

the last episode machi has been seen is by the episode wherein they contacted hisoka to make an arrangement with the jyonen.

At what point did it ever look like Machi was going to die? >_> I mean, I've never actually watched enough of the anime to get to the Greed Island part of it, but, in the manga, I'm pretty sure that the closest Machi ever actually came to death was when Killua stuck a hand into her abdomen, but that obviously didn't kill her. She's not in the Chimera Ant arc as of this writing, but the series has so many characters that even Gon and Killua don't actually have that much screentime anymore.
