You understand the world well. America may appear to be one nation in North America, but it is a vast empire encompassing much of the world. Proxy governments are allowed to stand, but they serve the interests of America. If not sanctions follow, and we've just seen what happens if the sanctions don't work. why does he never say "the owners of the FED have ALL the money everybody is looking for"

i dont thing theres alot of time to get this right, if it takes 2 years now to manage to LOOK at their books or whatever... thats a bit slow.

Without the fed and a fiat currency all these wars/ slaughter houses would be impossible. they would be forced to tax us for the funds instead of essentially printing them up and believe it or not the american people would take action if being taxed in that fashion

I dont know why Ron Paul made this HR 1207 bill. It would just make the Fed more connected to the government and then politicans would be able to use their influence and lack of knowledge about economics to sway Fed members on how to run monetary policy. The Fed was created by the government to be a private institution but all this bill does is make it more public. Anyone got a good answer?

Have you even read HR 1207? Sheesh. This bill doesn't make the Fed for "public"... it makes the Fed responsible for reporting its activities to the Comptroller General. The Comptroller General would them make its findings available to any member of Congress who requests it. From there, WE can get copies and find out precisely where and how the Fed is directing money.

and what exactly does that accomplish? If the fed has to make its findings to members of Congress, those individuals will put pressure on the fed to do things that are even worse than what they are already doing considering most politicans know nothing about economics, let alone how to determine interest rates and run monetary policy. I am completly against the fed but one of the good things about it or supposedly about it is that its suppose to be disconnected from political influence.

This bill would accomplish transparency; The Fed. is not truly audited like you or I. The central bank should have oversight on EVERYTHING they do.

The only way that we will every get out of debt is if we have true federal bank.. only happened once in the history of our country, under President Jackson.

How exactly is the Fed connected to politicial influence. They report to no one and its like their members are elected by politicians. As of now, I dont see how there is any political influence on the fed nor would any political influence do any good. I'm not saying i think the fed has done a good job. I am completly in favor of going back to the gold standard but I dont see how this HR 1207 would help. I know it would make the fed "transparent" but my question is what good what that do?
