  • Well, if he couldn't connect it might be better to give him back then keep him in a home where he doesn't want to be and that doesn't want him. I've heard of other stories like this with adoptions (usually from Russia) where abused children can't form bonds and they sometimes end far more tragically than with just a terminated adoption.

  • The title is misleading, I don't think this woman is racist, but wow,she gave up so quickly!! I hope he has a much better family!

  • sorry, wrong person disnelylandacidtrip

  • @DisneylandAcidTrip23 hi my names Casey. :)

  • shes not white.

  • I do not feel sorry for the mother but I am happy to know she gave the baby back so he could have a family who will love him.

  • she looks like casey anthony. Bitch.

  • I think the title is very misleading..I though this was about a racist woman who returned the child because it was black...

  • this is awful. that poor baby was abandoned by his biological parents and neglected. of course he is going to have trouble connecting with and trusting anyone. the way I see it, once you make a commitment to another living thing to take care of it and love it, you cant back out of that. whether its a baby or a puppy, once you make that commitment, it's permanent.

  • you should have threw sum chicken wings in his crib, plus if you were a white woman he would have bonded instantly

  • wat chu talkin bout? do you think Mr Drummond would give up Willis and Arnold?what about Webster?the truth of the matter is black kids are nothing but trouble, and grow up to be prison inmates

  • Poor D. They should raise orphans to take service in the military. They will feel wanted by the government. I hope he finds a good home.

Miss leading title. People always try to put "race" into everything.

  • @YeahImlosingit2 no cause that could turn into something bad thats not cool.

  • Your cain back a baby??? What the fuuuuuuck

  • She didn't bond with the child because she didn't like a black kid, and she just won't admit the truth.

  • @HMFTG People like her need to be raped.

  • Yes lets blame the child for not BONDING THE WAY I WANTED HIM TO...

  • I hope they don't give her another child. I'm trying really hard not to judge, but I hope she never gets another child. How can you "make" a child bond with you? She chose to bring him home...

  • She was like, "But I saw Sandra Bullock do it in the Blindside so I wanted to do it too"! :O But after the fad wore off I didnt want him anymore and tried to exchange him for a white one but they wouldnt take him back even though I still had the recipt! :(

  • this woman isn't a terrible person. she actually did what may have been best for the kid. if she wasn't able to have a real familial connection with the child then it is better for him to be with a family that can forge that bond. it wasn't just the baby not bonding, she seems to mean that she wasn't able to feel like his mother.

  • This woman needs to understand that maybe the reason why the child was not supposedly "bonding' with her is because the child was abandoned and left on the street like trash so of course the baby would have a hard time loving anybody and accepting affection, plus the child's head was flattened from laying in a crib so long which means that the baby suffered physical trauma......Healing from that would take years and she should have been more patient and let the child stay with her...

  • i dont think the child didnt bond, cause the child dont know anyone other than you... They respons to your love and energy vibrations. She didnt bond like SHE wanted to, thats it. she didnt feel the child. But she tried, imma give her that, most people wouldnt consider apoting a child they on the road, they would just hand the child to the police or whatever.. This is her story and her life, hope you did the right thing girl.

  • The first words out of her mouth blamed the child. Disgrace!!!

  • She gave up you can see it on her face thats it thats all

  • You don't give up on a child because theirs no connection, that like me divorcing my husband because I don't feel the connection. If you give your oath to be a mother you don't give up you don't give up your child.

  • Why the hell adopt if you can't connect with the kid. I feel like she is just giving up. I feel like this woman should stick to having biological kids. I feel sorry for that baby. He was under 2 years old he doesn't know much.

  • @distorbia20 Exactly.

  • I think it's ridiculous to think a biological mother will bond more with a child because she carries the child for 9 months. A lot of natural mothers have treated their kids like shit. A child is born from the heart not the vagina.

  • God I hate the Today show. How does it stay on the air with all the shitty reporters.

  • Maybe he's autistic dumb ass! If you adopt a kid it should be the same as giving birth to a child. It is your responsibility to take care of him regardless his problems. He's now your child! It's so funny how lazy, stupid, and careless people are these days. They treat it like it's just a dog or cat and you can just take it back to the pound.

  • A child is a child whether you give birth to or no. This baby has been traumatizes before she came to meet her new mother.it is now the new mother to commit herself to re-ensure the baby that she or he is safe in that environment. my Question to all parents when you give birth to a baby and the baby is not connecting with you or you are not connecting with your baby, are u going to give the baby away or in this situation you have the choice to give away because you did not give birth to.

  • I agree

  • good choice

  • When I adopt, I hope I will be able to establish a bond with my child. I could never imagine going through this.. I don't belive I will though.

I hope the 'baby D' has found a loving family.

  • my mother adopted 5 white children..the biological parents where meth heads and made the kids sleep outside in dog houses..this was culture shock for my family..we nver thought we would adopt them but once the first head lice situation was over we could not send them back.. its weird and they like different things but love is colorblind..this lady just could not deal with a special needs child (crack babies are no joke) meth babies are even worse..its lot of work and love

  • UMM BTW SHE ISNT WHITE SHE IS HESPANIC!

  • @skylarworld1 Whenever a white person does something stupid, whites will be so quick to label that person hispanic.

If she invented a cure for AIds and looked hispanic she will be immediately labelled as white...

    hmmmmm....why cant people be real

  • @RobertsDigital WOW UMM... ITS OBVIOUS SHE IS HISPANIC IM NOT CALLING HER THAT BECAUSE SHE IS WHITE AND DID SOMETHING WRONG! SHE IS OBVIOUSLY HESPANIC JUDGING ON THE ACCENT AND HER NAME! TEDALDI IS AN HISPANIC NAME... SO HOW AM I WRONG??

  • you cared so much about him that you abandoned?? if someone loved me that much, I would rather die! fuck off Anita!

  • Wow. This isn't about race! She wanted the best for him so she did what I think was a choice in favor of the child. Hopefully now he can find a family that he can bond with.

  • @AyasexKanou Do you think bilogical parents should be able to abandon their children if they aren't bonding with them or if they find out their children have special needs?

  • @AyasexKanou God forbid we should do something that is hard for the benefit of a child who is completely dependent on us. Just throw the child away.

  • @mjpitche Yeah, I can see it from that point of view too....it just I don't know, I would never be capable of leaving a defensless child in someone elses care if I already had even the smallest of ties with him/her. I attatch myself easily to others and my maternal instincts kick in. Indeed I would have tried much harder than this woman to keep that child. Leaving it would be too heart wrenching.

  • I think adoption is harder than people realise. You don't bond with the child like a biological mother would. You haven't carried the baby for 9 months, you haven't held that child in your arms and stared into his eyes and felt that maternal love. I am honestly surprised this kind of thing doesn't happen more often. Please don't get me wrong, I have complete support for adoption but It is not natural, and It is harder than gaining a bond with your own child, I don't think this is to do with race

  • Why does it matter what race she is anyway?? I have fostered 2 children and i was heartbroken to give up one of them because we got so attached to each other, but i was okay giving up the other because of the lack of connection. I had both of them for the same amount of time, it just doesn't click with some children/parents. Baby D is better off with a family who he connects with and feels he belongs to, otherwise he will grow up feeling ostracized like he isn't really part of the family.

  • She is not white, she appears to be hispanic most likely a mestizo. A person of european and native american ancestry.

  • @bombarderoazul Wrong. She's Italian.. born there too. And she's obviously white/European. Take it from an actual European person (from Poland). She does not look like a mestiza to me..

  • @KingaMadinga ok that's good to know, Italians are white, but they are less white than europeans of more northern areas, like scandinavia. Italians are more mediterranean europeans like spanish and portuguese. Thanks for the info.

  • @ jakewestwn......u r a racist dumbass.....im not mad at u...cause ur race started racism....fuckin idiots

  • Is this girl a Jew or some shit?

  • @GiovanniTh3Great I'd say yes. The photo where she is "smileing" is scarey as fuck. I myself don't think it looks right when a family takes in a darkie stray. They stick out like a sore tumb. I don't understand why blacks didn't want one of their own. At any rate the way she smiles may have scared the little black boo.

  • @jakewestwn Well christ I'd be afraid too.. I'd see some creepy stepford type woman as my new parent while I see other kids as black as myself having their biological parents or at the very least people telling me I'd be abnormal for all my life on earth. Its ridicule from when you are born from white AND black kids.

  • this isn't having to deal with special children, and not saying it has Nothing to do with race, it's just More than that. a child brain is developed and their personality and everything depending on things that were done by to and around the woman carrying him.

I think had she met the parents who made him, AND THE FACT THAT HE WAS ABANDONED. that sticks with a child. It would take longer to attach to anyone let Alone, someone New. It will be harder for him to attach after being left twice.

  • What the hell? A kid isn't a sweater you buy from the store, you don't return it!

  • @LadyTasera According to this show, it is much the same thing. The kid must show a bond and quickly otherwide he's out the door!

  • @galleta8878 exactly,in order to love a person you first had to make a connection..so if she really loves him like. she said she does that means she would have had to bond with him. she gave him back like a puppy at a pound

  • The fucking kid was neglected and left on a roadside to die. He was problably suffering from trauma and psychological issues yet she chooses not to understand and be patient. She discarded him like his biological mother after only six or seven months. She's no different from the people that left him on the roadside to die. She should've never adopted him in the first place.

  • @Thedarksecret1 I agree with you. Because of the neglect, the child would have needed more time to build an attachment with the new mother if any at all. Lots of children do take along time to attach if with their biological parents. More damage might have been done by neglecting the child once again

  • @blackncherry1 Yeah...and the saddest part about it is that she doesn't even get it. She should not even be in the adoption game.

  • @blackncherry1 She obviously doesn't give a shit. She only wants what's best for her, otherwise she would have acted like a normal mother and supported the child whether he bonds with her or not.

  • @Thedarksecret1 I agree. Adopted children should be treated as they were biological children. It's not the Childs responsibility to bond with or entertain this dumb bitch now or ever. Sometimes children have difficult personalities or are disagreeable but their parents are supposed to be there to love and support them no matter what and through thick and thin.

  • @Thedarksecret1 They said 18 months. A year and a half. Not such a short time.

  • @CoffeeAddict29 Sorry, but a year and a half is not a long time when dealing with an adopted child with traumatic issues. Besides, she said she felt he wasn't bonding. How's that? Stop making excuses.

  • This woman is so pathetic. She is no "Lady."

  • Many of these white people that adopt children of color only do it because it makes them look good. It's kind of like the "charitable" white men's burden archetype. I'm not saying all of them are like that but I do believe that many of them are. You see it on those feed the children commercials. You see all of these white people surrounding themselves with children of color and asking us to send our donations. Truth be told, they don't give a damn about those kids and they know it.

  • i dont dont thank she loveed him if u love a baby y would u give him back

  • I dont think it has anything to do with the child. Its her own narrow minded hang ups!!

  • How many parents at one point or another felt distance from their child like they wasnt bonding with their child. They didnt just throw them back. The made it work. Sonetime it can take yrs to bond with a child n counseling. Bonding with a child is not instant. This woman need to tell the real reason she brought that poor defenseless child back.

  • Poor kid is now abandoned twice.

  • she loved the baby so much that she gave him, away bitch

  • What a horrible woman. Who cares about the race aspect of it... You adopt a child that is YOUR CHILD. You put up with whatever happenes good or bad. For all she knew the kid was autistic and thats why he wasn't connecting. I hope this woman is never allowed to adopt another child

  • People need to stop treating adoption like getting a new pet..you can't just return it just cause you don't feel the "connection"

  • Given that the baby was found with a pretty obvious abuse history, it is reasonable to presume that he had no previous 'template' or history of attachment' on which to build on. This is not the fault of the woman. It would take many years for his little brain to recognise this emotion, if he's not been exposed to it before. It's trauma to the brain. Look it up.

  • The poster is a bit off the lady is definitely not white with that accent.

  • @jazzysistabigbones You know white people are from more places than just America, right?

  • @jazzysistabigbones She might be from somewhere in Europe or something

  • @jazzysistabigbones LOL are you dumb? How does someones accent determine their race?

  • I think she took 'keeping up with the Jolie's' too far : /

  • Um I still don't see how she's racist. lol. uhhh black people and their accusations lol.

  • @issacnewton2685 how do you know the race of the people making the accusation, typical white people and their racial stereotyping and generalisations. See i can do it too!!!

  • @popnfresh511 nice.....nice

  • Good for you; you did what was right for the child..'GO IN GOD'S SPEED"

  • she should have been prepared, adoption is not a rental, of course it's not going to be easy, i think she just gave up too easily!

  • Love the biracial vids & #antihate vids.

If you need to smile watch my video of my daughter #TeamAlanaBlue

    ---------------->"Biracial Child Going Nuts 1st Afro" <--------------

My daughter is EMBRACING her african american roots & I LOVE it, by far the best video. Leave Feedback & read all the nasty comments people are leaving about my little one, stand up for WHO YOU ARE & TEACH THE KIDS THAT THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL NO MATTER WHAT. Its nasty but at the same time draws awareness. @JennaMvpwg

  • This woman, who is not caucasian, already had several other children to care for and decided to adopt a baby who had been abandoned on the side of the road. If she was racist she wouldn't have taken a black baby to begin with.

In any event, I have seen many abandoned, abused and neglected children and I can tell you that many of them do not "attach", that is, they cannot receive the love and care you give to them. This woman knew that whatever the child needed, she could not provide.

  • @paco11051 What do you mean she's not "caucasian"??? She's from Italian origin for God's sake! FYI Italians are caucasians...

  • @MacAlexandra no they are not

  • @diamondsweetful The family name is Italian... so I suppose they are Italian. And (to the best of my knowledge) Italians are white... You're welcome.

  • @MacAlexandra they are from the Latin descendant ,British are white ,i know cos am Italian and lived there for 10 yrs ,

  • @diamondsweetful OMG!! How ignorant you people can be?? Italians are not white??? No you're not Italian, no you didn't live there. If you were Italian you wouldn't talk about "Caucasians" to begin with, and if you really were Italian you wouldn't say you are not White cause you are European! same as the British ;)

  • @MacAlexandra Okay, there are only three races. Caucasian, Asian, and Negroid. (NO, I'm not being racist, that's just the name.) And it's defined by FEATURES not skin color. Japanese, Chinese are examples of Asian race. Italian, Indian, Spanish, British are examples of Caucasian. Kenyan, Nigerian, are examples of Negroid.

There's not "white","black"...There's features. And we should accept diversity in our ONE human race (:

  • @missmuggledetector Indians are Caucasians? ROFL!!!! and you're certainly a bloody ignorant American yeah! LOL

  • @MacAlexandra By definition of Caucasian, Indians are Caucasian.......

  • @MacAlexandra Yes, they are. It's called "features" not skin color, though Indians can be dark, brown or fair. But their features are Caucasian throughout. I really couldn't care less about your ignorant jabber you lowly frog. I might live in America, but you see, I'm British, and the lord knows how your kind is loathed in my country.

  • this bitch is dumb....

  • This definitely isn't racist and it goes against the plight of minorities to suggest that this is. She clearly has said he just wasn't attaching. And she doesn't even look fully white to me which makes this null void. Her name is Anita and she has an accent; she's probably partially hispanic.

  • This is not a racial issue. The woman is obviously not racist if she was willing to adopt a black baby in the first place. I'm not going to bash her although I do have a really hard time understanding how someone could just return a baby and I am not sure I can empathize with her. My empathy sits with the child who was neglected and likely abused before he came into her care and deserved more than what she provided for him. Being given up twice likely won't help his attachment issues.

  • lol... what an ass...

  • of course by her voice and color u can tell by her children she is not frekin white she is foreign

  • These are the same kind of people who go all out for their biological children. It seems that the only acceptable deficient kid, is the one who came from her uterus.

  • This obviously has nothing to do with race. The title of the video is terribly misleading and judgmental, or I'm sure the person who uploaded this video was just seeking viewership? Of course most of us sit here and say that's terrible for that baby, but we cannot judge another person's situation. Every single one of us is different, there is never a one-size-fits-all, ever. Maybe there WAS a better family for the child, and what if she made the right choice? It's said, but this is life.

  • this is not race oriented. she just does not know how to deal with special kids.

  • @copnite12342 Neither do biological parents, but they learn and struggle through and do their best to help and support their children special needs or not. That's was this lady's respondibility was to this child! She even should have had an idea that he would have special needs due to his circumstances. That;s more of a heads up than biological parents get. She's just a straight up cold blooded piece of shit!

  • Why bother blurred the kid's pic out?? We all can see the child is black......

  • @VIPBJ21 to hide the identity better... they say that at the begining

  • this kid experienced trauma that gave him a severe attachment disorder. He may never be ok he needs intensive attention to even have a chance. This lady looks like she already has four other children.

  • @persiancatsarecool Exactly, severe attachment disorder - this is common with children have been abandoned! She just made it worse by taking him in and then kicking him back out.

  • Why did she give him up??

  • Comment removed

  • what a racist cunt!

  • i dont think this has to do with race...

  • I guess he didn't start playing basketball soon enough...

  • I doubt she is "white". She has a Hispanic accent.

  • she sounds like Audrey from Little Shop of Horror... you suck lady

  • I say RACIST!

  • WOW you really should have to pass a test in order to become or adopt children...this cunt is a fucking idiot and NBC you all are a bunch of douche bags for reporting this..

  • @vauxhallnj Best comment on here!!!

  • children do not come with 28 day return policy- she did not try her best she gave up stupid dumb woman... as a mother she should know better! I have refused to watch more than 3mins I agree why is she even on TV?!?!

  • @001Slinky What you said.

  • I don't get it? Why is this lady on T.V I seriously don't fucking get it?

  • What does this have to do with race?

  • @ray7sierra Cause it seems like a lot of white people adopt black kids to be trendy. I rarely see any other race scooping up black kids like they're pets. I don't know if it's guilt or what.

  • @ray7sierra

    Agreed!!

  • so if she had a baby and wasnt bonding with her baby would she return her child? stupid dumb woman. completely unacceptable

  • is this really an issue of race?? and also if she feels she coudlnt take care of him properly isnt he better off if he had special needs or if it just didnt work? and im only saying this because he is thanfully young enough to not remeber this , if he was older than i think it would be tricker but at least at seems like she cared enough to find him another family

  • Dear God , Please make it possible for Baby D to never rember this lady in his lifetime or to see this videoand God I promise to tell my children that I love them everyday cause they are a blesing from you !

  • Where is her husband in this process? This lady is a fucking cunt.

  • It takes a lot more than just a few months.

  • I do know (from my family members who have adopted) that the bonding does not come easily. That it's A LOT of work, more than any of us who have never adopted can even imagine. It's to keep that child with you constantly, TEACHING them to depend on you (the parent) being with them and beside them even more than you were with your biological children becasue the adopted child has missed those parts of bonding that the biological children had. It takes alot more effort.

  • She is a good person, and I am proud that she can rise above the criticism. The child does deserve to be in a home where he has the best chance of having a normal life. She made the right choice.

  • nothing to do with her being white or anything else. It's about her being selfish. And her husband too because he was complicit in the decision and just as involved.

    This is horrible.

  • Its a baby..what does she think its gunna do? What would she do if her own child didnt bond with her..would she return it? I mean its better to return the child if as mother your not willing to love any and every kind of child..what if one of her children gets injured and is whee chair bound and has emotional issues there after...will she just give up?

  • he deserves a stronger mom......im sick of these moms trying to be captain save a baby then wanna give him or her back when shyt goes wrong wtff?...shes weak and stupid....what if it was her own child? cant give him back

  • she got sick of him

  • I really dont think its a situation of black and white. What would everyone say if the baby was white and the same thing happened? She didn't connect with the child, shes saying she loved him but he deserved better. She was looking out for the child, either he stays there and grows up with more emotional problems or give him a chance at having a real and amazing, connected family. This women went threw something hard but she did it for the sake of the child.

  • OK well first of all she's obviously not "white"… this isn't a problem of race, this is a problem of a lack of nurturing instincts.

  • The lady is unbelieveably selfish. She looks an over-ambitious parent who push her kids too far in the rat race. I suppose that poor little black mite couldn't satisfy her high expectations. What can the black baby not do that a white baby does?

I bet she hasn't spend any quality time with the black child. It's a good thing that she has given him up, hopefully to better, fitter foster parents.

  • She kidnapped that baby anyway. A black baby belongs with a black mother (in my opinion)

  • i dont get it!she has like 10 kids of her own and she wants to adopt another?

  • She's not white, and the chimp was broken. End of story.

  • stupid BITCH!

  • she's not white.......everyone always wants to attack and blame whites for absolutely everything.

  • @babypink912 She is white. She may be Latina or whatever, but she's a white Latina, or a mixed Latina with white blood.

Sorry to break it to the racist white supremacists , but your WHITE blood is in a lot of brown bodies.

  • @thefashion1ster yeah but if your a "mixed latina" with white blood that doesnt make her a white person like say george bush now that's a white person not her.

  • @babypink912 Latino is not a race.

    Latinos can be white.

    That's my point.

  • @babypink912

    your paranoid.

  • @chefawkes about what?!

  • @babypink912

about thinking everyones out to get white ppl.

  • @chefawkes lol i meant like everyone wants to blame whites for pretty much everything. thats why i thought it was funny when i came across the title im like okay we know whites adopt african kids all the time blah blah blah and this is showing a negative light. and than come to find out she's not even white. So the title is false and giving whites a bad name when a freaken hispanic lady which they never adopt anyone so im suprised she did and a black baby?! anyway she returned him not a white.

  • id give it back, why would you keep it, its black? gross...

  • really great, like a piece of shit, if it would be her own child would she give it away after so many months. if she didn't had a bound with her own children would she give it away, i do not think so. she shouln't talk about love, of course that she want's the best for this child, but she made the things worst for this child. she adopted the child, but i think that she didn't knew what this means.

  • Wait, why is this focused on race? It should be focused on just issues with adoption, PERIOD. Also, attachment issues are real issues. I was reading articles about foreign adoptions out of war torn countries where infants...under 6 months old exhibited psychological problems caused by PTSD and attachment issues as they developed. Children who were in the hands of incapable parents to deal with those issues. A lot of the girls ended up with countless psychological problems including drug abuse.

  • This story reminds me of an episode of the TV series INTERVENTION where a white American family with i think 3 children of their own, had adopted a 3 yr old boy from India. The boy grew up feeling rejected from this family and became a heroin addict. This family actually loved the boy as their own and did not reject him. But the boy, recognizing how different he looked, just never felt like he fit in with this family! This is the risk of these foreign adoptions.

  • I couldn't never bond with a black child either. It's a good thing she returned it.

  • I think she did the best thing. That child would have grown up know he wasn't wanted.

  • SOME TIMES THE SO CALLED, "EXPERTS", DON'T KNOW SHIT!

  • HOW ABOUT ALLOWING NON WHITE KIDS BE ADOPTED BY THEIR OWN RACE. RACE REALLY IS MORE THAN SKIN COLOR!

  • There are other babys to adopt, Why adopt a &^%$^.

  • Wait a minute…. how can a child bond with the family? It should be the other way around.

  • I think she did real good thing by returning baby D. It is better to do that than to abuse him. I am certain that he would be happy with new family.

  • This is ridiculous. Are we really supposed to believe this story?

  • Theres something thats not coming out in this story. I don't believe for a second she couldn't bond with him, those pictures and the love she claims to have proves that she prob did and was prob closer than she said she was to him. I wonder what shes hiding.....

  • Naw bitch, you still failed him.
