Im really trying to get right with God and learn and grow in faith, but I am starting to realize that youtube is not the place to go to be taught the Word of God. I don't know what to do. I want to be a mighty man of God, but the church I go to the pastor doesnt believe we are living the last days or believe in the millennial kingdom. He says "there have always been rumors of wars" I just don't know what to do. I want to hear the word, not peoples opinions.
I don't disagree with his name, but there IS power in the name of Jesus. I have successfully cast out demons and rebuked the forces of darkness in his name. Yes, we can translate the name of Jesus into English. The problem is that His name was translated from Aramaic into Hebrew into Greek then into Latin and then to English. If we translate it directly from Aramaic to English it translates easily and is Yeshua. The problem is that it does NOT translate into Greek which set the entire issue into motion. If we go back to the source name we have it, its the long line of transliteration that becomes the problem.

Quite right. The name Jesus didnt even exist until around 500 years ago when (J) was created. The name has been a mess of transliteration over the centuries.
Backward: Jesus, Iesu(s), Iesous etc... His name is Yehoshua (Joshua is closest English) and Yeshua is an acceptable form. Yehoshua is a cross that LITERALLY means: Yahweh Is Salvation.
This sermon is to edify and not to tear down one's salvation. God knows our hearts my friend and you will not see me being re-baptized in the name Yahweh - there is no need.
I feel this information is deeply important to know and I encourage you to keep researching the name. There are many things that become clearer along the way because of it and it grows one's faith.
I truly believe that if one sees this completely, it will change or increase the Christology of many.

Test your spirits, not by your emotions, but by the Word of truth. Hold your doctrine up to the light of the world and examine it. Does it line up?
Are you really teaching sound doctrine? Are you teaching the doctrine taught by the Apostles? Souls are at stake.

As for the name Jehovah, it is beyond ANY shadow of a doubt that this name was MADE UP BY JEWS to keep from saying the name of God because of Jewish law called Halakah - PERIOD. Why don't you go visit a Jewish synagogue and find out for yourself what they teach? Tell a Jew that God's name is ACTUALLY Jehovah - they would ask you what altered scripture you have been reading?
So my question is: What altered Scriptures are you reading?

I just noticed this comment.
Yes, we can translate the name of Jesus into English. The problem is that His name was translated from Aramaic into Hebrew into Greek then into Latin and then to English. If we translate it directly from Aramaic to English it translates easily and is Yeshua. The problem is that it does NOT translate into Greek which set the entire issue into motion. If we go back to the source name we have it, its the long line of transliteration that becomes the problem.

i was baptized in jesus name too, but this is important bcause if it wasn't then why go through such lenght to keep His name hidden. Im just finding out now Jesus name is Yeshua there was never a j in the hebrew lanuage.

Quite right. The name Jesus didnt even exist until around 500 years ago when (J) was created. The name has been a mess of transliteration over the centuries.
Backward: Jesus, Iesu(s), Iesous etc... His name is Yehoshua (Joshua is closest English) and Yeshua is an acceptable form. Yehoshua is a cross that LITERALLY means: Yahweh Is Salvation.

This sermon is to edify and not to tear down one's salvation. God knows our hearts my friend and you will not see me being re-baptized in the name Yahweh - there is no need.
I feel this information is deeply important to know and I encourage you to keep researching the name. There are many things that become clearer along the way because of it and it grows one's faith.
I truly believe that if one sees this completely, it will change or increase the Christology of many.

Youre quite welcome. Some of the issues were not intentional in the translation issues. However, a certain "religious party" can be held responsible for most of it.
If you have not viewed my series "History Of The English Bible", it offers a bit of historic background pertaining to this. Although I dont believe the series mentions this issue spefically, it certainly explains a lot from this vantage point.
