Good point that he makes towards the end, i feel like if i can ever stop worrying about people understanding me i will be able to do much greater things. I spent the first 15 years of my life not questioning anything, simply trying to be normal in society and woke up one day to realize there is so much more.

I agree with the others that say the word is "stifling".

The proper noun is spelled Berkeley (as in the university on California) which is not to be confused with the Berklee School of Music in Boston.
