  • this is in fact the best band in the world, fo a long time now, not Oasis/Coldplay/U2 or whoever. The most criminally underrated band ever. They should be mega!

  • The best song ever. Seriously flawless song writing, have listened to it hundreds of times.

  • Just saw them at The Norva in VA. It was such a rush. Best concert I have ever been to.

  • LOVE!

  • 2:27

  • THIS ONE BIRD DIDNT LEAVE YOU! YOU CAN HEAR IT AS IT FLIES. ITS NOT VERY LOUD, BUT YOU CAN HEAR IT IF YOU TRY

  • where is high quality audio? This has digital distortion! Do the recording justice or remove the post !

  • The audio is very low quality on this upload. Seems slightly distorted :(

  • @SisturnMoth no, the album is just blown out to shit. Thank Dave Fridmann for that.

  • This album....

  • @JJbrousky117 ...is 3 song changes away form being their best.

  • reminds me of dark side of the moon. brilliant music

  • Best song ever. Enough said. :)

  • the definition of epic is this song. Really, really.

  • i cry almost every time i hear this :(

  • this song saved me from doing stupid things during my divorce. i know that sounds stupid and fake but its true. i might not be here today had it not been for this albulm. brings tears to my eyes every time tho.

  • @hawkala I know how you feel. The Flaming Lips saved my life. I probably would have offed myself shortly after high school if I didn't have them and their outlook to fall back on.

  • august 3rd, flaming lips and primus.

    can't freakin waittttttt

  • "...they only see the obvious...they see the sun go down...but they don't see it rise..."

Some of the most beautiful lyrics ever written. When Wayne sings it comes straight from his soul!!!

  • I really love the instrumentation for most of the album, but my only beef with the Flaming Lips is the Vocals. Maybe its just something that grows on you, but right now to me it just sorta sounds a little dry.

  • @NickDaNerd Wayne wont ever win an award for this vocals....he gets the message across but not really a good singer at all. So yeah it's an acquired taste or you learn to love it

  • so great in so many ways. Wayne and the rest of the f-lips have an undeniably brilliant ability to funnel their ideas from such creative minds into their songs.

  • OKC represent!

  • @rawwqq

    Fuckin' A!

  • thanks man......

  • possibly my favourite album cover of all time!

  • amazing band wow love them(:

  • @SCPH7503 two blobs fucking

  • one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard. and I've heard a lot; Pink Floyd, Sundays etc.

  • "They'll Destroy You With Their Lies" ~Flaming Lips~ Their Songs Are Full Of Gems

  • I love this song for the climax....My gosh..when I do an interview about my music one day, I will definetly have to say how big an influence Wayne Coyne and The Flaming Lips had on me. (Is it weird that my band does R&B/Urban)

  • @qthegreat3 yes it is. but i like it.

  • @qthegreat3 I do analogue synth based power pop, moving further into electro house power pop buegrass infusion (yeah I'm weird) but they'e still a big influence on me.

  • feckin love this song!!!!

    feckin love this group!!!!

  • it's good kinda like pie

  • This IS cosmic..... Very cool tune.

  • this music is like sonoritic canabis

  • i looked up wiki and the Lips have been around since 1983..they are EPPPIC!

  • Love the fuzz guitar explosion.

  • Wow I thought they started around 1993..but that is when i first heard of the Flaming Lips.

  • they seem a little old, i thought they were a band in like the 70's i heard. am i correct?

  • the flaming lips formed in 1983 so no, they wern't a band in the 70's. hope i helped XD

  • @FlamingLipsMusic But this album sure had a very 70's vibe to it. I think that could be why it's so under-rated. This song is so sad in a way that is beautiful to perfection, just like "Mr. Ambulance Driver." The way this song is sad is in a way that brings tears of happiness. If only more artists could do this like the Flaming Lips do on this album, today.

  • @rusteeeeeeeeeeeeeeez Are you thinking of the Flamin' Groovies, maybe?

  • @rusteeeeeeeeeeeeeeez I just met the lead singer last evening (totally out of nowhere), and I think he's still kickin' :P

  • I only find good like 3 songs from the mystics....

I like Embryonic a lot more.

    But yeah... nice song.

    :)

I find the mystics their worst album yet.... (and that is, Not bad at all, just not as good as others).

But i also think the few songs that are good in that album, are awesome.

  • These guys rule

  • Damn this is hot

  • This is their best album so far

  • thank you so much for posting these.........

  • I got turned onto TFP from old show on MTV called 3 south. Used Fight Test for intro. Great show and great group.

  • Thank's for getting me introduced to the band. Where are they from?

  • Oklahoma city

  • My favorite album by America's underrated rock band lol.
