  • Beautiful!!!! Proud to be a Hoosier :)

  • This make me sooooo homesick for Indiana!!! Wahhhhhhh!!!! I like this version, it is really good, very sentimental feeling..

  • these guys are awsomely in tune and just amazing! i'm trying to get an accepela group started at my highschool. you guys rock! i love acapella groups and yours is one of the best!

  • who wrote this song?

  • @TheFaith98 It was composed by Ballard MacDonalad and James F. Hanely in 1917.

  • I thought the last words of the song were, "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

  • Brings a tear to my eye--I'm proud to be a Southern Hoosier!

  • Was the lead singer flat a couple of times? Awesome job, but.....Or perhaps it was an effect, and I didn't "get it". Anyway, love these guys, and I too would love to hear them sing nat'l anthem at Superbowl 2011, plus any time at the Indy 500. (That would really be a clash since the Purdue band usually accompanies whoever sings it.)

  • God, that ending chord gets me every time!

  • LOVE this! It gave me cold chills. Can't wait to move home to Indiana! <3

  • Well done, Men! You make us proud to be Hoosiers!

  • I hope that when Jim Neighbors dies SNC takes his place at the 500! I would love to hear this now live! Love you guys...

  • I too have tickets to see them in Chicago and can't wait. The show is going to be really good and I'm glad I get to see them in my city. Also being from Indiana and having a brother that went to IU, these guys hit close to home on all chords (pardon my pun).

  • I'm in a small town in northern Canada and listening to these guys is a real treat for me. I have tickets to see them in Chicago and I've told all my friends to give me their new cd that comes out in April for my b-day. I can't wait!

  • i used to live in a small town in Indiana and ever since i moved to Ohio i longed to go back... this song makes me think of living on the Walbash for several years

  • @JacobBlackfan100 what small town on the wabash because i also live in a small town on the wabash currently

  • As a sports fan, I can say I dislike IU, because I am from Wisconsin. That being said, I love this song. It reminds me of a generation of music lost behind synthesizers and artificially enhanced voices. I am going to IU to see these guys in perform- Very classy

  • Go Indiana!

  • This song brings you to tears, but beautifully done!

  • I remember hearing this song on my first tour over seas. It almost made me cry. It was beautifully done. Thanks for posting it!

  • BEAUTIFUL!!! Can't wait to hear more!

    Way to represent gentlemen!!

    IU '90

  • Wonderful/watched on PBS this evening.

  • I've never been but I suddenly want to...

  • BAINBRIDGE:D

  • great harmonies!

  • I graduated from IU in 1960 and always want to "go home" This is GREAT!

  • ♥ Indiana

  • I actually got the chills

  • this is really good. i just wish they wouldve sang the original

  • They did this without mics at the Honeywell last night. It was one of the most beautiful things I ever heard.

  • Fort wayne man i love Indiana

  • I'm a native Hoosier (transplanted to California for 60 years now) and this song takes me back (even though I went to Purdue-on the Wabash-and nostalgically remember the Purdue glee club doing it, too). I have to applaud the IU version, beautiful. Thanks. I left Indiana in 1945 at age 22.

  • I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This song makes me long for moonlight on the Wabash. It makes me long for my Indiana home. It truly does.

  • IU....HELL YES!!!!

  • SNC's new CD, "Six Pack" is now available through the SNC website!

  • Born and raised in the Gary area, we learned those Indiana songs such as this one and "On The Banks of the Wabash Far Away" in Elementary School (Daniel Webster in Gary) back in the 50s. Love them!! Miss Indiana much - moved to Michigan in '76 and it's true, you can't take Indiana out of the girl!

  • amazing

  • outstanding

  • You can take the girl out of Indiana, but after 60 years away in Australia, you still can't take Indiana out of the girl. I catch the scent of new mown hay, and it stirs my Hoosier blood every time .... Martha Blanche ...

  • I know how you feel. Long removed from the banks of the St. Lawrence River, I still harbor a fondness for sunsets that are no more spectacular than sunsets anywhere else.

My memory leads me to believe that there are no sunsets like St. Lawrence River sunsets....

We may be far removed from homesickness, but....

  • Hello from Indiana

  • I love this song and they do it so well. Brings teas to my eyes whenever I hear it.

  • Lovely! My dad was a Hoosier, born and bred, and I remeber him singing this song with his deep, deep voice. Great memories.

  • Now, thats what i'm talking about!

    Go Hoosiers

  • You may have read about Warner Music Group removing all of their artists' videos from YouTube. This has affected us as well, so our videos including the original '12 Days', 'Lion Sleeps Tonight', and 'This Is How We Do It' are no longer available here. Trust us, we are NOT happy about it! Instead you can see '12 Days' on our MySpace page. You can read about all of this in the news, just search Yahoo or Google about YouTube and WMG.

  • When Jim Nabors calls it quits at the INDY 500 I think you guys should take his place. GO HOOSIERS!!!

  • As a diehard racing fan, I couldn't agree with you more. To say these guys would be honoring the legacy created by Jim would be an understatement - these guys are absolutely phenomenal!!!

  • I remember seeing them at IU. They sang New Age Girl by Deadeye Dick at a dining hall - as I recall? Wow, that was ten year ago. Exact time and place is hazy now but I still remember how it sounded like. New Age Girl was the one that really got all the applause.

  • This is TOTALLY how music should sound!!!

    Thanks guys!

  • This is a great comfort to listen to such aesthetics.

  • "Aesthetics" is actually the branch of philosophy that examines the nature of art. It's not the art itself, of which this is an (excellent) example. But your point is taken.

  • i have a question, are most of your songs are 3 part or 4 part harmonies ?

  • to my ear, their arrangements seem to hover around 6 parts, sometimes less, sometimes more.

their unison sound is actually REALLY impressive.

  • I'm from indiana, used to listen to you guys every night it seemed, you're a real inspiration to my music, thanks for everything.

  • I have been watching each video one by one, and have ordered the DVD. You guys ROCK!!!

  • I think these guys are awesome...what are they up to now? are they still together singing as a group? I'm a Purdue fan when it comes to sports(don't hold that against me...slightly touched I guess...lol )these guys jam on that song...this is how we do it!...I like them better than the newer group....just my preference...That Jerome is a character...and Dan's voice is special I think....actually their all good!

  • Fantastic harmonies

mikado95 is there any chance you could name these guys from l to r pls

Trying to put names to faces and only know 3

I know names are on snc site but i dont think they are in any sort of order

  • Randy, Mike, Walt, Patrick, Steve, Dan, Jerome, Kevin, Dave, Charlie.

  • Randy you are far too efficient with your responses :)

    Thanks for replying.

redrogue - a liverpool uk fan

  • Beautiful harmonies and blend. I'm guessing you guys write your own arrangements?

  • Yes, this arrangement is by Dan Ponce, who sings lead on this as well.

  • do thy all make their own arrangements, or find them? either way all their songs are very brilliantly done :)

  • Rockin'!
