  • I think equating China's human rights record and its role as the factory of the world is misguided. The involvement of China in world trade has lifted hundreds of millions from abject poverty. This is not to excuse China for the human right violations it has committed. Nevertheless this commercial unjustifiably tarnish anything "Made in China." If it was indeed produced by Amnesty International, the organization did itself a disservice.
