Well, if he does take it on i'd be intrested about how he'd make it. Like if he'd continue on with Sarah's life or if he'd completely remake it. Now i love the Classic version and you can't replace David bowie, but I think that the effects would probably be pretty cool if he did.
I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton, but a remake of Labyrinth...well, it would be kind of interesting, but I don't think it would be very good without David Bowie.
Okay, I am OBSESSED with Tim Burton's work, Johnny Depp is my favorite actor, but PLEASE PLEASE Tim Burton! There is no need to remake this! Labyrinth is a classic, nobody can replace the original actors and the original atmosphere of the film. Coming from a hardcore Tim Burton fan, I would have to say no. =/
It would be interesting to see Burton's take on "Labyrinth". However...the only way I would see it is if David Bowie agreed to return. He wrote the very catchy songs and made Jareth one of my favorite antagonists/anti-heroes(I think he is). Johnny Depp, for once, would not be suitable for the role. I still love Johnny Depp, but I just can't see him as Jareth.
It does NOT NEED a remake! Tim Burton is a good director but no. NO ONE CAN REPLACE DAVID BOWIE AS JARETH! Bowie and Jim Henson MADE that movie! You can't do it with out them. Do a sequel before a remake, but David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly would need to be in it, just like Return to Labyrinth the manga, OTHERWISE NO!
I watch Labyrinth almost every day. There is no denying it has Tim Burton all over it, and the man has done some great things in the past. I like Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice and Nightmare Before Christmas. But my problem with it is this: Tim Burton is not the same anymore. His audience is not the same anymore. In order to appeal to a wide audience, he can't be goth anymore. I don't want crowds of people saying they love Jareth or Hoggle just because they saw a remake.
Keep Tim Burton's hands off this work of art. Labrynth stands solid and doesn't need to have Johnny depp and Helena bonham Carter in it. No one can replace Bowie.
yea i read that, too, somewhere. isn't it exciting to think about? i so hope he makes one! he's the perfect guy to do it too. i think he'd put his own semi-gothic twist on it
I think if anyone were to remake Labyrinth then at least it's Tim Burton. I just hope he does it justice. But who'd play Jareth?? (depp?) i'll audition for sarah though XD
@VAMPIRICROCKSTAR If Tim Burton does it, more than likely Johnny Depp will play the Goblin King. lol Sweet, you're auditioning for Sarah. I'll help you lock up all the other auditioners! :D

So has anybody seen the spanish remake of the labyrinth?

I would rather see a sequel than a remake. God knows there's been plenty of fan-made "trailers" for Labyrinth sequels...!
