@StarFoxAutobot That would be affirmative!! In retrospect, F the 13th was really one of the weaker hit horror films. Far less known films, take the relatively unknown Black Christmas, is a far superior film to this one. It all just seems so silly looking back on it.

@koko8maroco well in the first one(the movie featured in this trailer) jason is a deformed kid and his counselors didnt see him drown because they were having sex so his mom went nuts killing all the counselors but at the end of the film she is decapitated but jason(now a zombie back from the dead) sees this and his revenge on the counselors for his mothers death is the reasons for the killings in the other movies

@ThatBoyCanJig our culture identifies Friday the 13th with Jason, so New Line decided to focus on Jason and just skim over what happened with his mother in the first five minutes of the film. New Line made an immense profit, as a result because it featured jason. The mindset of many (ignorant) people is if there is no Jason, why bother making a Friday the 13th, so there ya go.... truthfully, if you ask me, Part 1 (1980) is more frightening than the rest of the sequels or remakes.

During the morning hours of Thursday, July 15 1982 (2 years after the first Friday/13th was filmed) an unidentified homicide victim was discovered at the Cedar Ridge Cemetary. The body was a young white female between the ages of 14 and 18. Her face had been bludgeoned beyond recognition. "Princess Doe" still remained unidentified. No arrests were ever made in the case.
