Had there actually been a third season it would have seen Hordak finally freed by Evil Lynn. Hordak would have then immediately conquered Eternia and He-Man and the Masters would become a resistance.
so wait, adam is grey skull's decendant and what teela is the bird lady (grey skull's wife) decendant. sooo they're like cousins? and everyone thinks they will get together, is that even legal in eternia?
I love how sinister this Hordak was.I remember when I was a kid the commercials for the Horde figures actually legitimately scaring me.Then they were made the main villains on She-Ra and terribly wimped up.Fortunately, hindsight being 20/20 this version is how he was originally intended to be.I just wish he could've been like this back in the day.
I am a HUGE 200x MOTU fan. I just wish I gave a crap about it when it came out. (I remember watching an episode ir 2 on Cartoon Network but not really caring... Just wanted Power Puff Girls or Pokemon to come on lol) But yeah I totally wish I would have paied more attention to this when I was 8-9ish.
@zinbx It was a combination of Cartoon Network who stopped mid-season and started showing repeats of the past episodes, messing around with the time schedule of it and mattel screwing up the toyline during the first wave.
This incarnation of Hordak was so badass. The original toon Hordak was a bungler and a moron but the 2002 version was actually sinister and down-right dangerous. It's such a shame that She-Ra was never in this cartoon as well as I am sure they would have brought her aboard if the show had continued.
@PeterZeeke It didn't tank, Mattel scrapped the show mid-season once they realized that the action figures for the show weren't selling as well as they did in the 80's,
He was 16 in the original as well, the only reason he looked older was because Filmation were too cheap to bother using two different character designs on the animation it was cheaper for them to use the same template for both Adam and He-Man, with just a darker skin tone added to He-Man.
Aladdin? I wasn't aware Adam in this is Arabian...
He looks like a typical blonde haired blue eyed white boy to me....
@TheThotPran I wdn't say Filmation was "too cheap" -- it was more like they had serious budgetary limitations. The show was actual lavish & very well produced.
Compared to their later Bravestarr cartoon, the animation looked cheap as dirt, and constantly recycled animation scenes, that doesn't exactly scream lavish to me.
@TheThotPran Filmation kept the animation in the U.S. which meant that everything was more expensive & the studio wasn't run like a factory so yeah there are limitations. But almost every episode had a standout effect, characters were fully 3 dimensional, they cared abt the scripts & had strong character development. It was definitely a cut above other toy-based cartoons from the 80's.
@edumarcu It's Crimson red from when we first see him, then turns to gray/black in other parts, simply colouring errors, it happens very frequently in hand drawn animation.
I wonder if the combination of He-Man and She-Ra's powers are equivalent to King Grayskull's since they'd derive their powers from him.

@TheGlamazonFan
in part 2 she simply says 'when i can no longer, i will find another'
this does not specify that she doesn't have a kid or more, one leading to the blood line of adam and another for teela
or
who is to say the 'another' isn't her daughter? she never specified
Talongirl333 5 months ago
Just because they have the same voice actress, doesn't mean they're related.
Teelana is not related to Veena.
