  • I'm so glad tick season is over

  • They say there's no rose without thorns... I guess it can be applied to summer season as well...

    Have a good day! ^_^

  • I found out recently a relative of mine, got Lyme disease. She is young and was always energetic. Now she has become weak and tired all the time. This is a devastating crippling disease. There is no cure at this time, only managed thru medication. Thank you for bringing this to people's attention.

  • I'm so sorry for her! :'-(

But I really wish her that they may find a cure as soon as possible!

I've been living all my life with a physical handicap and for years I've wondered what sense could be in such a thing like that... I've found out, finally, that a disease, whatever it is, is a (terrible, yes) chance to dig in oneselves and gain some strength/depth.

And this applies to us... and to the ones surrounding us!

Sadly, human beings seem able to better learn their lessons the hard way...

  • i got lyme 3 years ago (well, i got bit 3 years ago) and i still have symtoms! i am cleared, but still. i missed all year of school and all together went for 10 full days

  • I am so happy for your being cleared, now... sorry about the symptoms, I really wish you that they may vanish, or that there may be some treatments for to stop them... and, anyway, that they aren't bothering you too much...

I did not get Lyme, but I'm physically disabled since my birth, and I well know how some diseases may force to miss days/weeks/months of school... the influence, in general, they may have.

I'm sure you're strong, though, and that you do your best for to smile at Life! :-)

  • thanks :) but i was on special meds to cure it. my dr named the medicen after me because i was the first to use it and he invented it for me

  • Ok, after reading this my jaws literally dropped.

    :O

That's simply amazing! It's like if... you had a part in medicine history!

This makes me think to something: it's because of the fact that you got Lyme... that your doctor has had the chance to search and find for a medicine... so, even your sufference has been like a good seed, because of which many, many other persons will be cured!

Do you believe in God? I do. I think the pains He lets us feel serve to our Souls... and others' too! ^_^

  • ok...pretty cool...

  • Thank you.

You know, it's a little things, this video... but, there are so many diseases one doesn't even suspect that may actually exist... so, maybe, even a short video can raise some curiosity, some interest...

Thank you for stopping by! ^_^

  • :-\

I made this video because I know someone suffering of this disease: before, I didn't even know what Lyme was... I didn't even know that Lyme exist! :-(

Let's hope that scientific research may find its ways for to defeat it...

    Thank you for your contribution!

  • Now, this is an interesting thing... and important, too: to act quickly, in every diagnosis and cure, is really important!

    Thank you for sharing!

  • im ur frined now

  • Thank you so much!

    ^_^

  • I frequently feed tics

  • :O

    Be careful, lady! Be careful!

Eh, sometimes this Nature can be quite dangerous...

  • Very good to raise awareness Dan! Should be standard in all school programs as simple prevention measures and early treatment could prevent all these tragic stories. But if you don't know ...

  • Thank you very much!

You're right, I think too that, through the time, school should inform people about this kind of diseases (but disasters, too), from which no one can really swear to be safe.

Prevention and early treatment are just the key!

Thank you for your contribution! ^_^

  • Yep, but especially Lyme as virtually all people at some stage will sustain thick bites (I have been numerous times and I am not working in forestry or something...)and the number of infected thicks is on the rise. You better know how to remove them < 24h and be vigilant for any symptoms. BTW always enjoy your vids!! :D

  • Exactly, this is just the point: no one can really say - it won't happen to me! -

And me, I always enjoy your comments... and your videos as well! :-D

  • I actually saw one person with this disease on TV the other day. He had like a bullseye rash pattern on him. That was when I got to the books and started reading about it. Good to see that I'm not the only one that cares:)

    Great Dan:D 5 stars=):D

  • I think I've seen that kind of pattern too, on wikipedia...

Did you get books on it?

Now, this is just amazing and great, because it just demonstrates that you've got the message in the best possible way!

You always rock! Always, my friend!

Thank you so much for your contribution!

Oh, and for the rating too! ^_^

  • Your welcome! Yea, the books are great, but a lot to read though:D

Thank you so much for your super kind words:D always appreciative:D

  • lyme disease seems nothing important until you witness it yourself. Danbergam! these words are short and simple, but they show an important meaning! we should all contribute to something that will help others!

  • You've said just a big truth: we often try to ignore diseases, to not think about them, to believe that they're someone else's business... but one day one person may be forced to face them, to personally witness them... so to put our head in the send is just useless.

It takes just a few, sometimes, for to care about the others... and it makes this world a little better! :-)

Thank you for your contribution, my friend!

    ^_^

  • well... it's good to know that someone cares about certain things :)

  • And it's good to know that someone else is willing to know and understand!

    :-D

    God bless you, Miry! ^_^

  • Until I saw Jady's video on your page, Dan, I had no idea that there was no cure. It breaks my heart to see people as young as Jady having to go thru what she has to every day and know there is no cure, only treatments that can make you feel even worse than before. I, myself know how THAT can feel. Now I'm even MORE grateful to only have the problems I have. My heart goes out to all of you who have it, and I've decided that I'll do what I did for myself, I'll fight for you as well. <3 2 u. Raven

  • I'm trustful and positive in the medical research... and I hope with all of myself that they may find a cure: after all, they already treat it... and found a vaccine!!!

What problems do you have, if I may ask?

Me, I don't have Lyme Sindrome, I just featured Jady's video for to help her spread the word... but I'm physically disabled: spina bifida (cleft spine).

I'm grateful too, after all, there are persons less lucky than me! ^_^

    You're a gentle soul, Raven! :-)

  • I feel the same way, but It frustrates me at how long it takes to even say, " Oh, well, maybe we should test for Lyme." It's not rare. Like I said, Im gratful I only have what i have.

Me, I have Epilesy, Diabetis, Migraines, Anemia, Hypochlorhydria, Asthma, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Anxiety, I'll stop before I die of old age! LOL It's because of the Hypochlorhydria, it causes me to get sicker because my body doesnt get enough nutrients from my food.

    gentle soul - loud voice

    heehee

  • Eh, the research... sadly, sometimes there are also too many economical interests, behind it...

Wish that the different nations could waste less time and money on wars, weapons, space travels and such... and concentrate more on the issues we actually have here!

You've got a lot of challenges to face...

    :-\

...but I'm sure you're doing a great job, keeping up the will and the strength!

You're a winner: you need to know it!

    Daniele

    P.S.

I tend to talk out loud too! xD

  • Yeah, It's sad how research on new weapons and spacecraft are so much more important than taking care, POSITIVE care of THIS planet.

I had to do alot of research on my own to get my Hypochlorhydria diagnosed for some of the same reasons. Doctors look everywhere else and don't want to do the one test that finds it because its "too expensive". I don't know who they thought was paying the bills!

I think it was me. =P

P.S. thank you very much, now send me some kleenex please!

  • I admire the countries that love its people enough to have free healthcare even more now. Money and lack of resources should never be a reason to deny medical assistance to anyone or anything. We should all be able to feel as if we are giving something back to society. Having a disease like Lyme can strip you of this feeling. It's horrible to feel weak and useless all the time.

Damn I need a camera. I have too much to say and not enough space to say it!

Stay strong! lots of love to all. <3<3

  • It's a lesson that everyone having experienced diseases learns: health is a right of each single human being!!!

And society is made up of human beings...

You know what? It's always the same problem: some people aren't able to figure out how could be to walk in someone else's shoes.

If they were able to do it, especially referring to poor (or not rich enough) people, maybe they would understand it.

    Yes, you need a camera.

    Stay strong, people! :-)

    And *thank you*, Raven!

  • It's really, really absurd... as if the health of people was not important!

We're kinda losing the perception of what makes sense and what not... we're losing a... human set of priorities...

  • First of all I want to thank you again for making this video. I had no idea there was discussion going on here. Thanks for caring about lyme and thank you danbergam for featuring my video <3 JD :)

  • You're very, very welcome, Jady!

Haha, me and some of my subscribers & friends really love to discuss... especially when it's about important subject like this one!

Thanks to you, for being there doing your own thing, Jady, and for being the way you are!

Oh, the feature... it's just a little thing: but I hope that it may help, somehow! :-)

    God bless!

    Dan

  • I worked with a veternarian, Dr. Cook, for about 7 years, and he contracted Lymes Disease from a tick bite while he was deer hunting. He went down very fast though and was in the hospital in critical condition for several weeks while they tried to find the cause. He had to recieve regular blood transfusions and work out regular. He still had bad days from time to time. He contracted the disease about 13 years ago and finally died this past December of a heart attack at 55 years old.

  • May he rest in peace.

"...several weeks while they tried to find the cause."

What you write shows that fast diagnose is always fundamental: the faster is the diagnose, the sooner proper treatements may be applied!

I'm positive that the young lady I video-responded to will win over it: she has a strong will and she is receiveing all the needed cures! :-)

Thank you for your precious contribution... you're always ready to help, when there's need of support! Thank you! ^_^

  • I just checked out the link page on wikipedia...

Wow, thanks for making this video and increasing awareness!

You have such a good heart my friend. You always want to help out people. You're a star!!

This is a short video, but maybe if more people post 30 seconds videos like that, or more people know about it, it will encourage them to support the research:-)

Only 2 persons have commented: the one suffering of this disease... and you, Nasreen, but *after* you have visited the link in wiki...

    You *never* delude me, lady!

If you didn't exist this world would be less rich, less positive... and less rocking, too, by the way! ^_^

I don't know if you have also watched the video for which I made this response... what impresses me the most of that young lady is her smile: no matter how heavy are her sympthoms... she still smiles!

    :'-)

  • Aw I didn't see it was a response video...

I'm checking that out right now!!

But yeah, it's amazing how people less fortunate, or who have a severe disease, are more generous, kind and smile!! While people who are fit and have a good health, often complain about everything an nothing... It always amaze me to see that!!

  • I just checked out that video for which you made this response... It was soo touching!!

I went and watch another of her video, where she was singing and I had to subscribe:-)

    She's so talented!!

Hope she'll keep the faith and stay strong...

  • Haha, really, it's impossible to resist the urge to subscribe to her! ^_^

I've seen what you've written to her: she'll keep up the faith, I'm sure of this... I can see it in her smile!

And, well... she has now found, amongst many others, two crazy supporters like me and you!

    :-D

Thank you for your unstoppable positivity, Nasreen! :-)

  • Wow this is great! Thank you so so much for making this video. It's spreading the cause. It means so much to me friend :) can you do me a favor and tag : Jadydavistv

    I love this !!

    <3

    JD

  • I wished I could do more than this... but I really hope (and believe, too!) that to help you spread the cause may be a good step in the process of winning this disease!

You're very welcome, my friend... and I love what you do and say! ^_^

Keep up the fighting, lady! You're a winner!

    :-)

    Daniele

    P.S.

For sure, I'm going to add that tag right now! :-)
