  • I would like to do that job at least once in my life

  • i think i would give that job a try

  • I cleaned up a couple of trucks that people had jumped in front of when I was a truck mechanic. I found it helped me to remember that it's really no different than cleaning up a deer kill. Just took the pressure washer and hosed it down the floor drains. Death is a part of life. Honestly, it's little different than cleaning off dead animals. suicide by truck or train is pretty common. Usually the major parts of the corpse have been removed by the coroner or undertaker already.

  • @heartfire451 yeah no doubt people treat death as this scary thing when its very natural. There is no difference from dead person to a dead animal its just meat and bones. Yet picking up bloody stuff is easy compared to filth homes.

  • Aint no way

  • Eww

  • Why would someone want to do this?

  • @susankohistany Because no one else wants to do it. So they empty peoples walets..

  • @Ihatelads these guys don't get paid that well lol its a job for people who want to work and can handle the job. Its petty easy honestly and no school or experience needed. ALso going to homicide/crime scenes is interesting. I did similar job through college.

  • @susankohistany money?

I'm kinda thinking of doing this career

  • Why am I watching this while having breakfast...?

  • i want to do this type of stuff somebody please help me!

  • He also said that finding all the body parts was looked at as a challenge, the quicker he and a co-worker found everything, the sooner they could go home after dropping off everything at the mortuary. He described how one time they were looking at night for hours for a missing head. Eventually he found it in some weeds and shouted "I found it" like it was an achievement.

He said that fatal accident scenes are the toughest part for highway patrol to handle since they are sometimes so gruesome.

  • @HeartInSanFrancisco what kind of sucks is not gross stuff but going on scene and some moms baby drowned in pool and she is freaking the fuk out you kind of feel bad for them. Seeing real people going ballistic when their loved one dies is little strange but you get used it

  • I knew someone who worked for a mortician. His job was going on calls to pick up human remains for disposition at the mortuary. He said the most "gory" calls vehicle accidents where the car(s) crashed at 70 mph, for example.

He described how they would have to search for hours to recover body parts spread everywhere. His work was not done until every part was accounted for.

He said that eventually he just became immune to all the gore, and that it was simply a job.

  • @HeartInSanFrancisco yep thats exactly how it is I do same get about 10 a shift and after year of that it just becomes routine. Really bad decomp smell or burnt victims still kind of sucks though or fat people always suck.

  • @EnergyDog23 i guess so

  • lol... I would love to see a clip of the guy puking inside of his respirator... now that would be entertainment! lol...

  • its really sad to see people numb to shock mabe the work should be pro bono not many people would do it for no pay very sad place to be

  • @billi244 yeah ok homo who the hell would do this type of work for free?

  • Did they really have to video the shit in the toilet?

  • poor guys, well not really, because they might be cashing in big time.

  • dude I have a cousin who picks up cadavers and dead bodies and shit for a living, but this is way more horrifying. I've seen some crazy death gifs, shotgun suicide pics where most of the frame is red or white and I can't figure out how this WOULDN'T be scarring. I mean, I don't care how much money that makes, I would probably do it for a week and decide that shit is way more costly than its worth.

  • It's gruesome, but it's also a very interesting job. It's most definitely not for everyone. In fact, it's not for most. People think they can do it until they're right in the middle of it. I'd like to know how he got the train job. Out here, no one is sure who's responsible. They want to call my company, but argue over who pays for it, so I don't get called. It's been a couple of times, now, with train accidents where they didn't call for that reason.

  • A very informative video clip. I featured this video on my Squidoo Lens. Title: Dirty Jobs: Crime Scene Clean-Up. You are very much welcome to visit my lens. Thanks.

  • I don't know what is wrong with this job. Doctors have to deal with same shit every day and I dont hear them complaining.

  • @MrJustsomerandomguy It depends what type specialization the doctor is working at. And no not really, your average doctor won't be peeling flesh off a train like these guys. You probably meant surgeons, but they practically have control over the situation, these people don't

  • bullshit. show us some brains

  • Sunshine Cleaning

  • "Life sweepers". I did this for over 4 years before I went another career path. It's not as bad as television makes it out to be. I never got to see an actual body. It always just blood. Majority of the time it was chemical spills, mold. Hoarding was the worst though. Especially when it involved lots of pets. Pay was great, especially here in Los Angeles.

  • sweet, i wanna do this when i grow up

  • yummy

  • Hey someone's gotta do it.

  • I LOVE Neal. He does things that others wouldn't dream of doing. Don't be a hater because he tells you like it is. Sometimes the truth hurts....

And people need to remember that it's a tv show not a how to video..

  • Nice,

    ptrsproclean.

  • Nice,

  • god! im getting sick of these advertisments

  • cremate me!

  • i want this job sooo frigging bad

  • yeah, seriously, how is the weather up there on your high horse "cougar cop"?

  • I am appalled at the lack of humility and utter arrogance shown by these two. As a veteran of over 450 homicide and suicide scenes, I feel the need to educate not only the public, but these two sanctimonious, insolent people. Under NO circumstances should any assumptions regarding the evidence left behind be made! It is not cast-off on the train. It is high-velocity spatter. Quit trying to be a crime scene investigator, get out your mop and do your job. Leave the investigating to us.

  • @cougarcop88 You sound pretty arrogant yourself big guy.

  • @cougarcop88 Any tips on getting into this work? Do you just sit at home until they call you and meet up at the scene?

  • Anyone know where to download or watch the full episode?

  • YO HOW DO I GET THIS JOB MAN, I NEED A JOB....I AM UNEMPLOYED COLLEGE GRAD........I'LL CLEAN UP DEAD MOTHERFUCKERS I DONT GIVE UP A FUCK, I NEED MONEY AND A JOB

  • I feel sorry for the dog that died with the junky........

  • @Darthbelal that didn't happen, and who said it was a dog? he made that up on the spot

  • i want to do this job but the only thing is i dont know how to get started if anyone knows and could help me that would be great thank you

  • @josedariosanchez I tend to agree, but without the foul language. I'm glad someone is doing this job.

  • I first read about crime scene clean up in a book about millionaires, believe it or not. A husband and wife couple started a crime scene clean up business and their company started making over a million a year.

I don't know how many of these businesses exist, but I am sure the market is wide open. I can imagine how much a business like this could make in Memphis, Detroit, or St. Louis. Not a job for me, though.

  • imagine if they worked in Juarez, Mexico with decapitations, gibbed torsos, and burnt bodies.

  • lil john blew his brain...yeahhhaah

  • they have a new show on Discovery ID True Grime Crime Scene Clean Up

  • They didn't show anything. :(

  • @EnigmaticUnseen This is YouTube we're talking about, they wouldn't allow stuff like that here. You're better off finding the real stuff on Liveleak, etc.

  • It's a job I think I could do after seeing my dads death, You have to see death first hand to deal with a job like this.

  • I'm interested in this job but my parents don't think it's suitable for a 14 year old girl =(

  • @AngelPrincessFromHel at 14 obviously not, however when your older and actually able to get a job, its a very important career. Its one that's not thought of much (mostly because people don't want to think of that) but still needed. I'd check around and find out as much info as you can. Some of my family didn't think joining the Army was a good decision for a girl, but I've done it anyway. You have to do what makes you happy.

  • i am actually intrested in this job what is the salary?

  • @nawtykiller333 My kid is thinking of getting into this. It's roughly $20 an hr with hazard pay. I say roughly because when you're sitting idle the pay is less, but you get paid while you're on call. I give my kid a week before he quits, not because of the gore, but because he would actually have to perform manual labor .. LMAO

  • @TreyLutrash.....LOL!!!!! That's funny!

  • Heyy,, y'all . Talking about this dirty job for Mike Rowe?? I just submitted this idea to the discovery channel / dirty jobs website, hope he gets it soon (-_-''

  • "check this coupler here. Body parts have a tendency to get stuck in between them" WTF??? He makes it sound like this happens all the time. Like a mechanic looking for a routine problem on a specific car.

  • "Lips with nose and mushtache on it"

    Jezus Christ..

  • At least let your fucking pets out or give them to someone who will take care of them before you blow your fucking brains out, asshole.

  • there are a lot of jobs out there, this one, isnt something i would want to do. props to these guys doing this as a living

  • Basically these guys clean up everything I've seen in shock sites right? Damn, I would go crazy seeing that in real life.

  • @SantaWithGuns haha yeah the ones in this video are nothing horder decomps are the worse no doubt shiit everywhere bugs everywhere huge flies, can't even walk in the house really and then you get to a 350lb decomb. Yet it becomes an everyday thing and you just joke about it to get by. I work as pick up guy for bodies.

  • @desembodic Shot gun suicides/murders are the worst thing to look at IMO.

  • @SantaWithGuns I had one a few weeks ago where he blew his head off with a m16-got gun illegally I think or from military family member- blew his head up pretty interestingly. Fat decomps are the worse or crispy critters-burnt victims- stuck inside a car after it crashes are always annoying when they fat also.

  • that would be hot to find someones mustache laying there!!

  • i watched the original airing of this, i actually laughed my head off at bits. Seriously

  • The only way crime will be stopped once and for all is if we awaken to the truth of life. Go to truthcontest (dot) com and read The Present.

  • That has to be the best way to stay thin. Look at that shit all day and you won't eat a fukn thing. Are these guys married? Their wives must have them shower 5 times a day just to get a handjob !@

  • i want that job :} no joke

  • The dislike bar looks like a blunt burning

  • i think this would be a rather exciting job, i bet its lots of money in it aswell, the only backside of it, is all the fucking maggots and shit -.-

  • The second guy's hot. Just sayin'.

  • @SayHI2TheBadGuyMang I would think that these guys make top dollar...this a job that *nobody* would like to do, unless they were paid extreamly well. Plus, you also have to consider the dangers involved (all the biohazards, the diseases you can catch if not careful)...they are taking a tremendous risk, just being NEAR dead bodys and their fluids (yuck!) :^P

  • The guy with the glasses reminds me of a grown-up version of "Ralphie" from "A Christmas Story." lol

  • Mike Rowe should do this on Dirty Jobs.

  • @dxarmy94 No he should not.

And he shouldnt be a surgeon either.

No work that is potentially life threatening to anyone involved should be allowed.

  • @Serostern I'm pretty sure cleaning up a crime scene is not life threatening to anyone. >_<

  • @dxarmy94 Yes it is. Pathogens in the air, in the blood.

    Blood diseases, slipping hazards.

One tiny tiny cut and you've got HIV. That is life threatening.

  • @Serostern Thats why they wear the suits!! And he's done life threatening jobs before.

  • @dxarmy94 I don't see any chainmail.

It is VERY easy to get a tear from a bedspring.

It doesnt need to be deep. People get blod diseases in stupid ways.

This man is not fit for this kind of work. And he shouldnt be allowed to do it without proper training.

The same goes for the fireman episode.

  • @Serostern HE'S CLEANING UP BLOOD AND MATTER NOT WALKING INTO A NUCLEAR HALOCAUST!!! Besides I just said that because the jobs he does on his show are usually never close to something as dirty as this.

  • thumbs up if ure watching this bcuz of dr house

  • where are the body parts?

  • @SmexyPC

they can't really show them on youtube

  • Crime Scene Cleaners get $600 per hour.

  • probably shouldnt touch the place where body parts get stuck with your bare hands

  • The guy with the florescent light looks sexy lol

  • dieing rocks!!!!!!

  • dieing rocks!!!!!!kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • dieing rocks!!!!!!

  • Do these guys have wives that ride them like a dime store Pony after coming home smelling like a sewer and a piece of ear in their shirt pocket? fuck that !@!

  • wtf there weird as fuck

  • wow that job must be the most scary'est thing ever Q.Q

  • Is he doing a brake inspection?

  • i wonder how many of these guys eventually end up with PTSD

  • Is it weird that I was eating lunch while watching this and was not even remotely disgusted?

  • @NeVarajMe yes it is

  • @NeVarajMe Nope, me too :P

  • What is that occupation called? It's definitely something I would pursue and get used to. Afterall, death is a normal process in life (smells and all). Plus, getting to use chemicals legitimately sounds appealing. :)

  • This reminds me of the Mythbusters episode where they stuff a couple dead pigs into an expensive sports car, seal it up with tape and keep it in a hot shipping container for a couple weeks. They then take the car out, TRY to clean it up and then attempt to sell it! LOL! And you thought your job sucked!

  • @joewalter222 same company did both shows

  • i wanna be a csi nit cscu

  • mike rowe from dirty jobs should do this

  • @lemonrind,

wow,how helpfull are you ever gonna be should you ever decide to off yourself, lol. you wouldn't get a discount for being 'clean' when they found you, lol!

Bit more serious now.I worked in health-care for over a decade & just the 'simple' act of 'laying out' a dead body was enough for me! I'm not squeamish, but it's amazing how quickly a corpse can smell malodourous! All credit to these guys & a little 'gallows humour' is vital in that kind of work.

  • Explode! lol

  • "You see maggots, I see money," LOL! I have a friend who worked at the dump, and he'd say, "You smell that? Smells like money to me!"

  • My dad used to do this job working his way through college. He said the worst ones weren't the suicides- but the elderly hermits who weren't discovered for weeks. Especially if they had pets.

He said he only cried once- and that was when the poor mutt that had been stuck inside the house started wagging its tail when it saw them- dying only minutes later.

  • @Treemeadow ): poor dog.... so close to saving it.

  • @sprylittlething

    Exactly :(

  • @Treemeadow . Omg, thats heart wrenching. Anyone that does this i have respect for. It needs to be done and props to your dad.

  • "Mike Rowe here, welcome to another episode of 'Dirty Jobs.'"

  • I guess they have the same mentality as morticians. They know it'll be gross but they figure there's gotta be someone to do it. Better them than me.

  • garoooooosssssss!!!! What some people will do for money,,,but guess someone has to do it!!!

  • have to say fair play to yes

  • erm im not saying i killed anyone but how much does it cost to hire these guys to clean and not say a word...

  • why would little jonny blow his brains out?

  • @THOMASGODBOUT123 bcause little suzie broke up with him lol

  • how much to they get paid? whats it called?

  • @alphafirstoneyou I am sure they get a lot of money. there would be no other incentive to do this work.

  • The stench is beyond. I lived down the hall from a ten-day midsummer decomp. (which would've been less gross had building management bothered to check when we started complaining about the stench).

  • i would think the stench would have to be the worst part of all. That and any child murders, for sure.

  • @hollyzone well it's not like the body is left there. You wouldn't have to see a dead kid, just the remnants of the incident.

  • 3:15 holy fucking shit

  • He absolutely had to use LITTLE Johhny as an example, didn't he? Now I have this image of a five year old kid shooting himself with a shotgun. Thanks alot.

  • even the maggots die from odor...

  • My Dad used to work on this

  • Damn science, you scary!

  • This is why if I were to kill myself, I would asphyxiate myself with an inert gas (such as helium) in my car in a remote area during the cold Canadian winter. Temperatures can reach -40°C (-40°F), which would freeze my body solid in only a few hours. I would wear a diaper just in case I pissed or shit myself. There would be zero mess.

  • @lemonrind i never laughed so hard!

  • @lemonrind Aww... You're so kind and considerate :)

I'd strap some explosives to my head to make it quick and painless but also stick an explosive up my ass to make a real good mess.

  • @Arthur61987 Ahahaha ohhh man that made me laugh..

  • @lemonrind LOL

  • @lemonrind Good Lord. sounds like you have given this some thought.

  • @Bhav341 Yes, I think about this constantly. Ironically, contemplating suicide is the best comfort I have to get through the day.

  • @lemonrind well, life is no picnic. However, it IS short. Hang in there. Things could change. And if they don't, well, it's not like you are going to live forever. It will all be over in another 30 years or so, maybe less....and believe me, the older you get, the faster it goes by. You'll have cancer or kidney disease before you know it and can kiss the world goodbye without upsetting your mama with a suicide.

  • @lemonrind Very thoughtful, and I'm not being sarcastic. People who kill themselves and leave a mess for anyone, especially loved ones to find...well i guess ultimately they made the right choice.

  • @lemonrind How nice of you to think of these assholes before you choose to off yourself. You are really a swell person.

  • @lemonrind wow you've planned this out I hope you never do kill yourself.

  • @KJT922010T LOL! It sounded pretty weird to me too! You have to be kinda crazy if you have already planned a suicide if it were necessary! LMFAO

  • @lemonrind well there is just one problem. Just imagine what kind of a mess it would be if you left a corpse in a car in the summer. AS you know Canada only has 1 winter per year, and one summer. So be careful not to find too much of a remote area or you'll be mighty stinky come summer/fall. Unless you want that...

  • @lemonrind That is very considerate of you...sounds like you put some thought into that!

But, seriously, I hope you would never really, actually kill yourself...it's not fair to your family or friends, and the very LEAST of their worries would be cleaning up a mess!

  • @lemonrind HAHAHA cheer up man.

  • @lemonrind BETTER, GET INSIDE A BIG REFRIGERATOR IN ANY SUPERMARKET O DELI STORE WHATEVER YOU PREFER AND TAKE A BIG TRASH BAG AND GET INSIDE, DONT FORGET THE INERT GAS, I THINK WOULD BE SHIPPER THAT WAY........

  • @lemonrind >> why not just live instead ?

  • @lemonrind Seems like you've given this quite a bit of thought. Let me know if you ever need someone to talk to. Hang in there buddy.

  • @lemonrind hHA THATS FUCKIN CRAZY

  • @lemonrind you've got this pretty much designed... should I be calling your family? wait this is 5 months old.....I think I remember reading in the newspaper about a man wearing only a diaper who died of hypothermia in Canada inside his car.....

  • @natureshamy Yup, that was me.

  • @lemonrind Lul, how about not killing yourself? That's a REALLY good idea instead. (:

  • That was an SFMTA muni train

  • they were on mythbusters lulz

  • why would the guy just have to say untill little johnny blew his brains out ?? joking is one thing, thats mean, my brother did, & after my dad died, i cut up the carpet where he laod for at least 2-3 days :( strong of mind does not equal- ASSHOLE

  • Meh, go join the Marines, instead of cleaning it up, you get to watch it happen. Coming across the charred remains of some combatants in a truck that got hit by air support a week ago is quite interesting too.

  • where is Mike Rowe from dirty jobs??? ooh yes, he work at Discovery channel

  • how many train hit victims has this dude cleaned? wtf that guys life sucks

  • Crime-CORY COWGILL & PAUL COWGILL hid mother from Atty General of IL.Helped her run from landlord & authorities looking for her.PAUL COWGILL took her to CORY COWGILL in Chicago where they stayed and hid from being prosecuted. The Attorney General was tipped off where mother was & she was punished for her horrible crimes against the elderly. The sons, CORY COWGILL & PAUL COWGILLwere accessories in the crimes and by hiding her & should be in jail! They're using your material publicly! Be Aware!

  • Can someone serioisly tell me how to get in this profession????

  • i saw dexter in there with that mattress

  • they start at 30,000 a year and get raises, some make up to $100,000 a year

  • HAHAHA THERE IS A DILDO AT 0:58 ON THE SHELF

  • @tuffguy333 HAHAHA

  • @tuffguy333 OMG HHAHAHAHAHA tsk tsk

  • @tuffguy333 they were prob fucking them self before they shot themselfes ps its a woman

  • I guess someone has to do it

  • The guy who cleans up looks nuts, I guess you have to be to want to do this :-/

  • forget this crap. Burn the place down. so soooo NASTY

  • @Momma4TDCJ they clean up the house and sell it (I WOULDNT WANNA BUY IT)

  • seems like just every single thing is morbid in a crime scene
