Speaking of shell fish. Where I live the DFO has decided it has no money to test for "Red Tide." Thus it has closed the whole North West B.C. coast down for all shell fish. This primarilly effects Natives from gathering their yearly catch. That is just one of the interesting political moves against Native Canadians in my neck of the woods. The closure effects clams oysters and mussles. Our crab and prawns are still OK.
