Isn't it a shame much of the character of the circuit has disappeared what with the acres of tarmac run-off where there used to be beautiful trees and a horribly tight chicane in place of the old bus-stop. Thanks F1 .......

I agree too. Difference between this and now is quite dramatic, especially at the top of the hill. No trees there at all then and now there are loads!
They ruined the bus-stop though. Old bus-stop is much better! :)

The circuit was changed to this layout in the late 70s and Derek Bell was racing the Porsche 956 in the early 80s.... thats why I guessed it was early 80s! :)
