The zune could have been a worthy contender IF it had been any other shape than EXACTLY what apple is doing. It is just a bad corporate clone. I am no apple junkie, in fact, I think their product is for the most part shit. But the ipod is one slick little device....

I dont think it is too similar to the ipod. It is an mp3 player, they all look somewhat similar. And the controls don't have the touchpad wheel like ipods are famous for. The reason it is not a worthy contender is because ipods are 100x more stupid-people friendly (a significant majority)
