There is so much work to be done. If you have even a few hours to give, a few dollars, cleaning supplies, clothing, food or prayers, please register with United Way on 13th Street as a volunteer.
The work will be ongoing. It's NOT over. Ask your church what THEY are doing, ban with friends to help. We are neighbors. This is OUR TOWN, whether you were affected or not.
i was lucky too, but those i love, not so much. Please find out where you can help. It will take ALL of us.
Many of those affected have lost hope, are in shock, grieving and lost.We have had deaths, people are out of work and a once beautiful town is struggling to recover from the worst flood we have seen since 1913.
The smell of mold, the standing water and insects, the work that never ends are too much for most of us, too much to bear alone.
We will never be quite the same.
You're right.Today nothing is funny. i don't think you would be laughing either.
Thanks for this video. I live in OH and my daughter lives in Columbus IN and works for Cummins in their main office. She told me by phone, but seeing the devastation first hand is amazing. Thanks again.....
I live on the north side of town, so luckily my house was fine. I knew a lot of people that had damage though. I worked at the tech center until about 3 weeks ago. Now I work at COB thank goodness.
yea i live in columbus too, that water on the west side of town, in noblet (not sure how its spelled) is only a block from my house. luckily the street starts to go uphill from a block away.otherwise it wouldve reached.. o.o

She lives in the brown house across from the furniture building. Closer to 5 points than 7th Street.

I got some pics of the damage today. I work at Cummins, but thankfully in the GOB, so I at least have work to go back to.
