Demand that the president of the University of Florida resign immediately for permitting such an atrocity to take place. Walk out and stay out until he does and until all charges against Andrew are dropped and he is released.
He had his freedom of speech what the hell are you talking about?
Kerry would've answered the question(and even started to later on).
He wasn't arrested for asking a question as most people seem to think, he was arrested for resisting. You might say, well there's 6 cops, they didn't have to use a taser. I could say the guy didn't have to flail around and struggle, even if he was in the right(which he wasn't). Taser is a NON-LETHAL resort to detaining a person, not the opposite.
yes queny2 your right. I did make some atrocious spelling mistakes but I was extremely heated and was looking for a way to vent. Again I am sorry to anyone I offended in posting this comment and I am sorry to sbrambles for insulting you.
Well MajCamMitchell if I can read through all your typos and understand what you meant to say then hate to break it to you but I thought her comments were interesting and I'm glad she posted them. So it's not just your spelling that's off.
It scares me how many young people posting video responses are crying "Freedom of Speech". This young man at UF violated the rules of the forum in numerous ways. The police were doing the job handed to them, I doubt the police were happy about the situation.
Agreed, its like young people have no clue what police brutality is either. I grew up in L.A. in 80s and experienced enough myself. This was nothing close to anything but police professionalism, and an idiot causing trouble.
yeah hurray, it scares me too. It is obvious that he was not questioning but bombarding with statements and rhetorical questions to incite a heated argument. He wouldn't cooperate, warned numerous times. He was overly dramatic and looking for attention. The cops used standard procedures
Its what cops do. They will taser someone VS struggle and he WAS struggling, while it seems drastic, its actually safer and end up with less broken bones or bruses. He asked for it plain and simple. If you want to resist cops and act a fool if they try and escort you anywhere, expect the same treatment.
Pinhead! THINK, maybe that's not a right. The "Cops" caused the public disturbance! The kid did NOTHING that REQUIRED police intervention. You don't see this action as an abuse of power? If so, then WE are in trouble! The kid is not promoting your point of view so it's ok?
The kid did enough to get escorted out, more than enough. Q&A was ended at the time and he felt rules didnt apply to him, so he went ahead and didnt only ask questions, but more sought as much attention as he could find by acting a fool. His reaction to geting escorted alone got the response that is more than predictable and justifiable.
I understand where you are coming from, but I think you might be reading too much into it. This was not about the need to torture someone, it was about having to make a fast decision and making a bad choice. That is all it is, the police made a bad choice..... What is really terrible is because of Meyer's immaturity, he faces a felony on his record and the police face losing their careers. They all look bad....
Since 2001, more than 150 people nationwide have died after they were shocked by Tasers, according to an Amnesty International report released last week.

Read report, you doubled your numbers, its over 70 (not 150) deaths, most of which where from drug induced indaviduals. This report makes wonderful points in its overuse, but if you cant consider what the alternative actually is for combative people (battons, brute manpower, and rubber bullets), its sad.
One of. The election was stolen, 5 million black, latino and native american voters disenfranchised. That is a violation of the voting rights AND 14th and 15th ammendments. And Kerry, like Gore, didn't fight it. Wake up people, your country has been hijacked for 7 years. Visit Palast's channel or read THAT book for the proof.
Everyone should really look up the following on here:
-Verichip
-Directive 51
-Police State 2008
-FEMA Concentration Camp
-Chemtrails of Death

you are right, its a fair guess to say 150, still a guess though. I personally wonder how many lives/injuries tasers save though.

freedom of speech does not include running your mouth to the police and replying with sarcasm to them saying its timeto leave.
