i want a Curly horse when im older because they are so beautiful,they have a good temperament and because people have told me that they do well in the winter since i live in canada its very cold here so i want to know that my horse will be fine in the cold.
If you want a horse like this one, just get yourself a Curly. My mom and I owned four (two mares that we bred for a filly and a colt - colt was mine) and I completely agree - they are the best breed out there for temperament. We always called our four 'big dogs'. :P
I wish I knew how my colt turned out. He was certainly a quiet enough colt he could have been a show jumper without being gelded, which is saying something from what I've seen!
how do i get a curly? since i posted that last comment i was given a lovely warmbloodxThoroughbred mare that i would love to breed to a stallion like this to mix in with my horses good traits.
Best shot would be to google and look for breeding stallions in your area. Just look up "American Bashkir Curly" and there should be some directories of breeders by state. It's been a while since we bred our mares, but I know that's how we found someone nearby us. Congrats on the mare, too!
He looks like a dressage horse, idk why but he just looks like that is what he is meant to do
