Isn't it more about a union wanting this service to be declared essential?

Make it essential and all the union has to do is THREATEN a strike - at which point a federal mediator comes in from somewhere in Quebec and gives the union what it wants - no questions asked.

When the Union decides to implement the operators to their respective positions all customers' should not pay a fare to coincide with each day the strike was in effect. Simply everyone should walk on the bus, say hello, not pay and sit down. Give this watered-down version of organized crime tactics Union a simple taste of what they are doing to this beautiful City of Ottawa.

R u fucking kidding me? The firefighters and Police r essential service personal, not to mention they literally risk their lives to protect the society. U r comparing these brave men to the people that sit in a seat and drive a bus around? Get bent. I was at the baseline park and drive, (for my exam), these bastards delayed STUDENTS from writing their exams. I MEAN STUDENTS WTH. These guys r nothing but a NUISANCE, & they won't get a single drop of support from me or the public.

!st class police constable only needs high school a clean record and pass testing salary $73 000 not including o/t and payed duties easily over 6 figure incomes. Fire fighters only need high school pass all testing and there making 6 figures as well and what about all the government people who only have high school pass entry test and making excellent salaries and do nothing literally.Please people have some respect and support these drivers. SUPPORT DRIVERS!

No support for drivers. No respect. No dignity. If they went on strike long before the holidays or after, then public support would have been in their favor. It was their worst mistake going on strike before X-mas. They dug their own hole in the ground. No apology will be accepted by the people of Ottawa. These drivers will live with the shame and guilt of betraying the people of Ottawa with their greed.

the workers get paid a lot of money and have more then enough sick days, more money then people that have a higher education then them. if they had post secondary education id be on their side, but they didnt work as a student and go through the bull shit for this jib
