Nice video. But I was wondering how kept the stencil on the shirt. When I made one the edges were blurry and not as crisp as I wanted. How do you secure it?
@AhendeArt you will need to buy adhesive spray can you spray the back of your stencil and it temporary clues to fabric it comes off but is made to hold for a few minutes..
What kind of spray paint do you use? sorry i'm sure you got this question a million times. I use just multi-use spray paint but i don't know what's wrong because after one use the paint (or nozzle, i dont know which) will get messed up and it sprays blotchy and spurts paint instead of spraying it smooth. So is there a specific brand that you use?
@Sarang413 In this video, I used Montana Gold. But I found it kind of suck for shirts. I've had the best results with $3 a can outdoor stuff from Home Depo. As for your problem, I donno man, maybe try getting a new cap?
@FatherBingo Thank you for the reply!! I will definitely have to stop by home depot... I am fairly new to spray painting so I didnt even think of going to those stores lol Just been to art supply stores & walmart lol and i think it's the brand of spray paint im using... i recently bought 99 cent spray paint and that worked way better and less blotchy than my other problematic one...
What a fast way and easy way to make a shirt. I thought you did it so quickly and not dragged into a 10 minute tutorial. LOVE when the plane lands right away thank you.
@14lessthan1 It smells like flowers or fresh baked bread, depending on what color you use. No, I kid. The smell will go away if you let it air dry long enough, and it's most certainly gone after the first wash.
If you go to a UPS place or Fedex, they have stickers they give out. Theyre about 5 inches by 4 inches. Theyre good for little stencils or small parts for a big stencil.
Hello. Great job! What type of spray paint did you use and does it matter? Do you have to heat set it afterwards or just let it dry? Thanks for sharing. =-)
I've been trying this process for a little while now and I keep ending up with the image bleeding and the whole thing looking really blurry. Am I doing something wrong?

if i do this with regular spray paint will the t-shirt be machine washable ?

@VisneCrew2009 Yes, but it will fade a little. That's part of the aesthetic. Use fabric paint if you want it to not fade.

why take the trouble to use fans when you can bring your table out on the yard

@MRwm28 Because I was living in San Francisco and there was no yard connected to my studio apartment.

@yuyuhuli Yeah, it fades. That's part of the aesthetic. If I wanted bright colors, I'd use fabric paint.

what spray do u use? can I use an ordinary spray paint? like people use to spray for vandalism? lol

@shiroand No krylon will basically wash out...haha
The best thing to get is "Simply Spray Soft Fabric Paint" it is made for fabrics and also safer to use in enclosed areas

Are you using a spray adhesive first? It'll make the back of the stencil sticky and your lines sharper.
FatherBingo 2 years ago
do it faster

swordsaw 2 years ago
is it permanent fabric spray paint? does it stay on after was..
MOBRIEN1234567 2 years ago
It's spray paint. Like for graffiti. Yes, it stays on after the wash.
FatherBingo 2 years ago
Woudnt it get fucked up in the washer like the paint would spread n stuff around the washer.
Can you use any montana like spanish?
o0NiTeMaRe0o 2 years ago
I've never had a problem in the wash like that, but if you're worried wash it separately. Any paint that's waterproof works.
FatherBingo 2 years ago
what kinda spray ?
cdixon330 2 years ago
Any kind.
FatherBingo 2 years ago
Fantastic. So you remove the stencil instantly or you leave some time?
YodaW19 2 years ago
I leave it long enough for the paint to dry. So, the better the paint, the less time I need to leave it sit.
FatherBingo 2 years ago
Thanks. Very helpful indeed.

robbot1234 2 years ago
Forever. It may fade a little.
FatherBingo 2 years ago
won't the spray paint harden and crack ?

Nope. It does fade a little in the wash, though.
FatherBingo 3 years ago
Alrighty,
thanks for the reply.
I'll be sure to check it out.
Although, I've going through a lot of video and most recommend that you use liquitex acrylics paint, I'm guessing its a fabric paint of some sort.
There was also screen printing aswell
but thanks again.
