this is really something! I have seen metallica play master of puppets in its entirety and I know how I felt when I heard orion. This song touches your inner soul. Very inspiring to see such a huge progressive band as TOOL to attempt orion in between Lateralus. Two thumps up!

I too would have probably shit myself when they broke into orion. I bet most of these people have no idea how lucky they are right now. These are the two best songs by the two best bands ever. If anyone has seen tool live they know that this is their best live song and effin orion? What the hell is kirk doing there? I would have paid any amount of money to see this live. I've seen both Metallica and Tool and would have loved to have seen Kirk come out at the Tool concert or perhaps Maynard come out at the Metallica concert (fingers crossed for that one). The solo wasn't the best but it him being on stage was epic nonetheless. It also would have been just as awesome if Mikael had come out and played that incredible solo from Blackwater Park.

yeah, little disappointed, Kirk. The Tool guys had to slow it down for him to play along. If yer gonna jump on stage with somebody, maybe learn at least one song! I'd have been impressed if he would have improvised a solo over Lateralus and it fit over the progression. Kirk is an awesome guitar player when he plays what he knows. But he's a trainwreck at times when he's forced to improvise....or play without wah! but what do I know...he's the gazillionaire rockstar and I'm.....not. lol

Hope you crazy kids like the videos. I recorded the whole thing w/ my iPhone. Between the distance I was from the stage, security eyeballing me every 5 seconds forcing me to hide my phone, and all the fatheaded people walking back and forth in front of me, I guess it came out decent. The show was RAD! First time I've ever seen these guys live. They were redonkulous!
