That is how I feel about the Park Avenue. I had two and would have gladly kept buying them. I bought a Lucerne last year and don't like it at all. I hope to buy a new Enclave to replace it in a few months.
I'm sorry but I wish that Buick had been fazed out before Oldsmobile. Buicks hadn't been around as much and had been making nothing but ugly cars with poor quality cars around the time Oldsmobile went out. Oldsmobile had just gotten back on its feet whereas Buick was years away from doing that. Granted they are making good cars now but back then they weren't. OIdsmobile was making the car cars that GM should have been making all along. R.I.P. Oldsmobile.
@mbrianna66 excactly!! I have spent so much on this stupid buick that I don't even know where to start. I had to get the bearings replaced, the whole electical system screwed up, so I had to pay $1,600, the drivers window takes so damn long to close because it keeps stopping, parts of the hood are corroded because of the shitty aluminum that the hood is made of, and many more problems that cost me a crapload to fix. FUCK THIS SUV !!!
@Seps96 I have to kinda agree here. Some fuse went off all night for 2 weeks, until we finally got a reservation at our local Buick dealer, took them days to fix. First time it went off we used OnStar, we thought it was a break in. I had to disconnect the battery, and I chipped the plastic headlight getting it undone. I couldn't leave it in a parking lot.
I purchased a 2005 CXL with leather and the works for for $19,000 with 14,000 miles. Still had the new car smell. I wish I had the HUD (Heads-up display) and the NAV CD/Radio options. I called the local Buick dealer and they said they had the NAV Radio and could install it for around $1200.00 but the HUD could not be added, it was only offered from the factory. I REALLY wish I could get some clear tail lights, but I have searched the web high and low and no deal.
The comments are encouraging. These are nice cars. I pick up mine tomorrow, an '04 CX 2WD. Not a lot of options and I'm not crazy about the color (gold and brown 2 tone) but it'll carry the fam and pull the camper. I also like the fact that I don't have to look down to see out of the windshield or duck to get into it.
3400 is a good engine well MOST of the time my 98 pontiac transport 3400 series engine recently blew its fuel injectors and head gasket, naturally i replaced them myself because i am a skilled mechanic but i think GM shoulda left that 3800 series V6 that they had in the first generation plastic-panelled minivans! those were the best engines! aside from that the 3400 isn't bad it but buick did offer the 3500 near rendezvous' end
@firebird890 I agree. I loved my 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue with that 3800 series II V6. One of the best motors GM has ever built. It was practically bullet-proof.
umm-is this a joke or something...my wife and I have a 02 rendezvous... I have to agree-the grand national would be a awesome move on buicks behalf-the best thing about the rendezvous is its cheap and has lots of seats...I dont know- the kids like it i guess....
