I bought a v400 vintage apart from having the action lowered in the shop it is fantastic for a guitar of its price it is louder and more responsive than a guitar i have that was almost three times the cost of it i am very pleased.
Does that have steel strings? Because I've got bronze on mine and it plays & sounds like crap, especially when recording with a pickup or a condenser mic.
Something else I found, and wondered if anyone else has experienced this: if you play the high E string open and put a little downward pressure onto the headstock, the string gets pushed into the first fret. I was going to query this with the store but the receipt went missing!
Great stuff Keith. Agree with all you say - fantastic sound for the cash. I fall over myself tho' because of the 43mm spacing but my daughter loves her V300 which suits her small hands perfectly.
@sobellfanatic Thanks Steve. Even 44mm I'd almost manage, but 43 is just plain silly! There wasn't really any scope for widening the string spacing with a new nut either. :-(
Definitely agree with the the other comments...super "little" guitar and it sounds great! Looks good too......nut width etc would suite me as I've got small hands. Super tunes and playing.

@CrankCase02 - Strings are Newtone Masterclass Phosphor Bronze 12-54.
I'd give the headstock abuse a miss if I were you though! ;-)

They are great guitars - astonishing sound for the money. I'd love to try one of the all mahogany dreadnoughts!!

@64thistles - I fancy the all mahogany version of this one, and I think there's a slightly bigger one too, but the wretched nut problem again....

Lovely playing, Keith, ably demonstrating that quality, playable guitars like this are readily available, and can sound very good indeed!

@scanbran Thanks Martin - I really enjoyed my brief time with this guitar. Only wish I could cope with 43 mm nuts!
