  • best advert ever!

  • Nando´s should promote the pacifist people

  • Fuck Mugabe

  • I want that gold AK

  • whats the song?

  • you know this makes me feel sad for him

  • Ha HA!

  • THIS SHIT FEEKNNN HILLLAAARRRIIOOOUUS

  • @mukerjeewise

Those two last guys are PW Botha aka The Big Crocodile of South Africa & Idi Amin of Uganda

  • A company in the United States should take this commercial. Would be accepted here.

Poor Mugabe, all alone :( Don't worry he has 15 million friendly faces haunting him in his sleep.

Oops, that was a typo. *angry.

  • @TheJoeyzxc I think in the US we'd only know who half those dictators were. Wouldn't really translate culturally. My mom's from Zim and she thought it was great though.

  • @FGN123 I agree they would all like WTF. The only person the american public would recognised is Hussein and Gaddafi.

  • @Exli3r Lol yeah I didn't know who the South African guy was until I read the comments, and the only reason I recognized Idi Amin was because of that Last King of Scotland movie.

  • Why ban it. They should put it back on

  • On one hand, this is really distasteful for a restaurant ad. On the other hand it's really funny.

  • they left out Lukashenko

  • who are the last two?

  • why is it that mugabe has to be one of the few africans to live to a ripe old age...

    irony

  • MUGABE IS A FUCKIN JOKE A CLOWN WHEN HE DIES HE WILL BE FOTGOTTEN

  • Pause at 0:35

    :D

  • just look it ap on you tube "type in"those were the days my friend" its by mary somebody, paul mccartney signed her on his new apple label. she was the first to be signed.

  • who sung this version of those were the days? cant seem to find it anywhere and im sure its not mary hopkins

  • The white guy is Nicolae Ceausescu; president of Romania and all round nice guy. Shot dead along with his wife on the 25th of December 1989. It was what most Romanians wanted for Christmas.

  • @ma049 its the former South African Apartheid leader. Pieter Willem Botha.

  • Best advert ever.

  • Kim Jong Un ate all the chicken.

  • Who is the white guy?

  • a nando's advert!? they dont need to advertise to show how tastyy they are!

  • and Berlusconi?

  • song name is Those were the days.

  • Comment removed

  • Who's the guy on the swing from 0:40 ti 0:47? It looks like he's holding the flag of Paraguay, but I'm not sure.

  • @troelsdc Pieter Willem Botha, former prime minister and president of South Africa.

  • @Brutalisation Thanks!

  • I think this advert is only funny at the beginning with Gadaffi and Bob playing water guns...the associations with the other political figures are irrelevant (they were never his friends) and having one white strongman is ideologically dishonest...what about Fredric Luggard (Nigeria) Ian Smith , Winston Field(Zimbabwe then Rhodesia) Chris Heunis, Hendric Vervoed ,Marias Viljoen.....I am not a supporter of mad Bob but i am infuriated by ideological bias

  • @BOZACKSKY it wasnt intended to be completely accurate, it was just a joke and not meant to be taken so seriously...

  • @NiggerHaterFromSC Hahahaha. Is that all you can come up with? Fucking uneducated twat!!

  • Comment removed

  • People are way too PC this is funny as

  • Its not fun 2 make fun of the dead (Muammar Gaddafi) =P

  • Fawkin Hilarious

  • what's the song called?

  • I want to karaoke with Chairman Mao!

  • Robert Mugabe, Muammar Gaddafi and Mao Zedong disliked this video.

  • Best commercial ever!

  • It makes me happy that 1,896 people still have a sense of humour.

  • RIP RHODESIA...FUCK YOU MUGABE YOU DIRTY FUCKER

  • xD every commerzial should be like this, then you have: Movie, entertainment, Movie entertainment...

  • @BeatlesAnthology so say the white people now living in new zealand! (that's actual serious, not me being a dick)

  • ~~ SO RONERY ~~

  • Lol

  • The Malawian president shudv been put on this ad too haha!

  • Why the fuck would Mugabe hang out with Pieter Willem o_o; he was a supporter of apartheid when Mugabe opossed the apartheid regime of Rhodesia.

Other than that, it was a fun comercial. Guess he will miss Kim Jong Il and Mubarak as well >:3

  • Hmmm. Now that Kim Jong-Il's gone, Nando's needs a new advert. I feel the 7-pack meal is coming out soon.

  • Hahaha

Laugh at the dictators some might say Dick see you laters!

  • What song play in this?

  • @bardbollocks Go back to a Ron Paul rally, you prick.

  • Well, with Kim Jong Il, Mugabe's table looks mighty empty.

  • What the song play in video?

  • @bardbollocks No you just an insane anti-Semite who should be culled from human existence for the betterment of mankind.

  • Wow.

  • I had the urge to watch this, just now.

  • What about Kim Jong Il , Putin, Assad? They are still alive.

  • @DarthFanta Kim Jong Il JUST died man!

  • @giganixon its not kim jong ll in the video its mao tse tung

  • @DarthFanta spoke too soon

  • @DarthFanta LOL! Check the news.

  • @DarthFanta Dude, Did you just kill Kim Jong Il

  • @DarthFanta That's the whole point, it only shows dead dictators and that Mugabe is lonely. Kimmy is dead now 4 great justice! All your chicken are belong to us!

  • @DarthFanta And Assad is still in the midst of a popular revolution. I give him a year, tops.

In other news, Castro hasn't appeared in public since April.

  • The ad was not banned. Nandos chose to withdraw it over threats delivered by pro-Mugabe groups.

  • @AvatarAlphaOmega They basically threatened to chimp out and riot, so the ads were pulled. another instance of society being held hostage by niggers threatening to riot because they were offended.

  • @1978atcarroll You, raw0331usmc and N******HaterFromSC are as loathsome examples of humanity as the dictators in this advert.

  • @KaiObelisk not nearly as loathsome as a pack of wild rioting niggers.

  • @KaiObelisk I do not think you understand why the word nigger is used in south carolina. Clearly you have never even come close to human contact in multiple forms.

  • @AvatarAlphaOmega so you'd say that an advert being banned from being shown on telly means that the advert was not banned?

  • @AvatarAlphaOmega same thing basically

  • xp. xd. xd. xp

  • This is toooo funny

  • Uncle Bob brought this loneliness on himself. LOL!

  • y u not speak

  • cuz lol

  • i was born in zimbabwe true but i now live in the UK and this is the funniest advert ever lol

  • @jasonmcmaster14 Jason!!!!!! Why'd you send me that link...

  • Kim Jong Il has friends now, while Mugabe is forever alone !

  • LOOOOOOOOOOL mockage !

  • Oh my God SO funny!!

  • Who's the guy on the swing?

  • claaaaasic! i'm gonna have nandos for lunch now. more please

  • Withdrawn, not banned.

  • Everybody says it's Idi Amin - sure it's not Charles Taylor?

  • Mugabe's last 37 supporters disliked this.

  • this is such an amazing commercial

  • WE NEED MORE TV ADVERS LIKE THIS IN THE UK

  • @sinchydogtrainz thats wht i was thinkin lmfao

  • damn, that chicken looks good

  • @UnoServix if the chicken looks so good go eat it instead of fantasizing about it -_-

  • @whiteyAlcade :|

well see i would if the closest Nando's to me wasn't on the opposite side of the country or in another country entirely

  • Kinda feel sorry for Mugabe in this advert, then I remember how much of a prick he is irl. Hope he gets lynched soon

  • Is the white guy on the swing supposed to be F W de Klerk?

  • @UK31337 I don't think so de Klerk was a cool dude

  • @UK31337 No, its supposed to be P.W. Botha, the state president before him ;)

  • Ah this is great :P South Africa ftw

  • this is superb.

  • Thumbs up if you just watched BBC news and YouTubed the video

  • My history teacher showed it to us :)

  • Just saw this on bbc news lol

Mugabe is the last dictator if you believe the west , somehow im confused why Tony Blair has not been taken to the Hague , along with MR Bush & of course lets hope they wil be joined by DAvid Cameron & Obama f thier part in the legal but wrongful Libya war

  • @cheeckybutnice Oh please - get a life.

  • @cheeckybutnice agree with Tony Blair and the Bush part...but how was the Libya war wrongful? Sure, some civilians may have been killed, and that's a terrible loss, but they tooppled a man who was killing his own people! The mission was rightful, and justified. Even Al-Qaeda fought on our side against Gaddafi.

  • @Zingerman989 watch Libya burn now that uncle Qaddafi is gone

  • @Zingerman989 u clearly are american or british. the level of understanding of Libya is appauling. read a book, or something written by a real african. nt a newspaper sponsored by Obamrash and his english whores

  • @pharaohNinja yeah I'm English and not afraid to say it. The only problems with our country are racists and the governement, so far up their arse they don't report the real news. Call me jaded and one-sided, but the only news we get is pro-UK tripe. I hate the Americans and the english whores as much as the next guy...

  • @pharaohNinja Because a "real African" isn't going to write just as biased a report only from a different viewpoint?

  • i want that golden ak47 water gun

  • what about Kim Jong-il?

  • @08750876 Are you a bit slow? The whole point of this ad is about dictators who have fallen or have gone. Kim Jong is still the leader of North Korea.

  • @kenmlove but Mugabe hasn't fallen or gone.

  • Our history teacher showed this to us xD

  • who is the bald dictator?

  • @gagarottel I believe it is Marais Viljoen

  • @gagarottel I think it is Nicolae Ceausescu

  • @gagarottel Think it's meant to be P.W.Botha, if you mean the white guy on the swings.

  • @gagarottel The bald white guy is supposed to be Pieter Willem "P.W." Botha, South Africa's Prime Minister from 1978 to 1984, and President from 1984 to 1989. He's holding the old South African flag in his hand while he's swinging. He was one of the country's strongest supporters of Apartheid (or as he called, "Separate Development") and died in 2006.

  • I used to be a dictator but then I took an arrow to the knee....

  • @EvilFord97 I used to think this meme was funny, then i took an arrow to the knee

  • Awesome ad - humour is a great way to undermine tyranny. Shame that Nando's sells abused chickens' flesh though - I would never eat there because of that.

  • Could someone please tell me the name of the song

    It fits perfectly here :D

  • @Vladiuss The song is "Those Were the Days" (recorded in 1968 by Mary Hopkin). It's an English version of the Russian song "Dorogoi dlinnoyu" ("By the Long Road").

  • This is funny, I just hope that the Nando franchisees and workers in Zimbabwe don't get wacked because of this...Love the the Gaddafi reference and the gold plated AK-47 water gun. That was comedic gold!!!!

  • Hahahaha brilliant well they got the publicity they set out to get :)

  • anybody know the song?

  • @zulfay84 "Those were the days" Mary Hopkins

  • @stv04ani thanks mate

  • who is tht guy on the swing?

  • @guhanmd P.W. Botha I believe but I may be mistaken.

  • Lets hope Kim Jong-il and Abdullah Aziz are sweating :)

  • Pity the advert does not wanna make me eat Nando's

  • honestly cant see why it was banned? im super serial can someone explain

  • Comment removed

  • @GolfBallHeads Because Mugabe's thugs started threatening Nado's and its employees despite being in a different country

  • @SinDawg030 ah i see thanks, probably got more hype from it being banned than if itd had actually been shown lol

  • Great Ad.

  • qet5ess it is a former executive state president from 1984 to 1989 in South-Africa.

  • We don't have any freedom of speech in South-Africa no more they are taking it away! But i think this is a bloody good advertisement, i dont see any way how it offend a country and infact his own!We had a article in the local newspaper on this with the title of "Die hoenders in oor advertensie".Means they are furious about this ad. . .its actually a pun they are using in Afrikaans.

  • I am lying on my bed feeling ill and this ad puts laughter back into my life :) although disgusted by the figures portrayed in the ad

  • Who is the dictator at 0:40?

  • xD

  • @DsFToXiiC there's just the slight problem of Nando's being founded in South Africa... so your statement is invalid.

  • Stunning ad.

  • This is the BEST ad of 2011. Fuck this dictator. He deserved it for all the lives that were taken by his hand.

  • whose that verwoead?

  • The advert was not banned, it was pulled because the staff's lives were threatened in Zim.

  • @DsFToXiiC u mad bro?

  • @fgd49v2 ur not big so stfu and stop using jersey shore/zyzz references

  • @DsFToXiiC hi you must be new here

  • @DsFToXiiC Nando's doesn't exist in America...

  • @BrezaJuanita

It does. But only in a very very limited amount.

Though they are much more of a force in South African, Australia and New Zealand.

  • @BrezaJuanita

It does exist in America. Washington DC has a Nando's outlet.

  • @DsFToXiiC

Fact 1. Nando's is a South Africa based company that operates on a global scale. The add was made by the South African part of the company to be screened in South Africa. But then again, Africa and America look rather similar on paper, so I guess confusion is to be expected.

Fact 2: Zimbabwe was not a successful country that was "fucked up" for oil or because of the USA's financial problems. Mugabe's policies did that.

Fact 3: You did not check your facts.

  • @DsFToXiiC

You are an imbecil. You have no idea what you're talking about.

    Please go back to sleep.

  • @DsFToXiiC Uh? It is a South African commercial. So maybe you should stfu and do some research before you decide to throw your two cents in. Nothing I hate more then some ding dong who does not think before taking action.
