Minimums is the decision altitude/height commonly DA/DH during a precision approach, where the pilots have to make a decision of whether they declare a missed approach or continue and land the aircraft, taking into account their speed, glide path, trajectory, overall being in stable flight situation and have a visual contact with the runway or it's lights.
This is only valid for precision approaches... for non precision and circling approaches it's called minimum descent alt or height (MDA A/H)
@dadaco2232 I think you mean : ''Minimums'' it means that if the cockpit (automatic) say that, you must have the runway in sight. If not, you will have preform a go around. Sometimes pilots say: ''continue'' ( with landing because they have it in sight.)
@dadaco2232 If you mean that "minimums" voice that's the Ground Proximity Warning System advising the pilots that at that altitude the captain must decide if he'll land the plane or go around. That altitude is called "Decision Altitude" or "Decision Height".
@dadaco2232 I think you mean the 'minimums!' spoken by the computer: i think it has to do with ILS, giving the minimum parameters where ground-systems can give information about the plane: after that, it's up to the pilots.
@dadaco2232 The Ground Proximy Warning System: It calls out 'Minimums' It's the minimum height of where the pilot has to deceide if he's going to land or make a go around. This height varies with different wheater
Although I cannot seek friendships with somebody of a higher social standing the commercial aviation enterprise, but I like the commercial aviation enterprise very much
Do pilots turn the cockpit light off during landing?

@Adam895 I think it is a ILS aprroach. Normally Boeing 777 lands with ILS!

@dadaco2232 minimums? Just letting pilots know they need to make a decision to land or go around.
