@CrashRecho Well, the 'talent every 15 levels' isn't a decision to dumb the game down, it's a decision to make the talents you actually pick be fun and meaningful, and not just a passive +1% to fire damage, etc. It's also to get rid of the traditional problem WoW has had of cookie cutter specs, or just specs that are better than all the others. I can understand their rationale. As for Diablo 3, I have no interest in it anyway since all the Diablo series ever was is a lootfest.

Agreed, WoW is dead to me as well - since the moment I first saw that lame-assed panda drop from the sky. I've been playing since Vanilla, I've loved the game and every expansion, but I got bored in Cata and hoped the next expansion would flesh out some of the more exciting aspects of Warcraft lore - and instead they focus on a joke race that was a random aside in WC3. Just bought SWTOR, enjoying it so far.

The fastest way to permanently lose interest in WoW is to make it your work and make it complex. This is why people often see the time they started WoW as their best time/expansion because it was simple and the excitement of discovery was there. With TB making the Azeroth Daily, this turned WoW into complex work. I'm surprised he didn't find a reason to lose interest sooner

out of curiosity ( I haven't followed your channel for a while now), do you not enjoy wow anymore because of the whole 'familiarity breed contempt" thing, or do actually feel the game has gone down in quality?
I definitely know how TB feels about WoW as I'm sure many people do. I received a scroll of rezz from my online friends and it's great to play with them again...but if they're not online then there's absolutely no fun left in the game. So now I'm working on converting them to other games, which I believe TB's WTF is episodes should help me open their eyes to more and more games. (b^-^)b

TB, you could consider something along the lines of a "Hyper WTF is Skyrim". Given that many many of your viewers will pay very close attention to your impressions, why not record your first, say, 4 hours of gameplay and release them in 4 or 8 parts? That way you satisfy your viewers while still having some benefits of your own. :) No "let´s play", just an in-depth look of what´s maybe going to be THE state-of-the-art RPG. And no, first impressions are never dumb, they´re just first impressions.
I do agree with TB to a point about the WoW expansion. It feels like a twelve year old came up with the idea. BUT that being said, I will be trying out the beta. Its not released yet, the beta isn't even out yet so hopefully some content will be changed before the the finally release. It will at least give me a idea for the feel of it. if by the end of the beta, I feel it truly sucks...I just won't buy it.

@Dale1cool Pretty much. The current set of developers have done a fine job of chasing off a good chunk of the games' core audience. I doubt the game's dying by any stretch, but I do believe the plateau is fixed firmly in the rear-view mirror.

I do share some of your apprehensions about Mists of Pandaria. When they announced Cataclysm, Metzen gave the exact same speech about the ratcheting-up war between the Alliance and Horde, which wound up only expressed in a handful of low-level and a single high level questing zones. Hearing him repeat the same sell made me roll my eyes.
However, the announced features shouldn't be judged until they're actually demonstrated I think. Can't fairly judge something that hasn't even been seen.

I agree with everyone's comments about WoW it is finally dead...This is one last Blizzard attempt because on competition they are getting in MMO's to revive it..And it doesn't promises anything new aside from few ideas copied from GW 2

After I heard the news on the wow expansion my second thought was "Man, I can't wait to hear TB's opinion on this" (with my first being "Wait, that's all they're releasing? Sounds like a glorified and expensive content patch"), so I was actually a tad disappointed to hear that small and controlled reaction.

Hey TB, I know you don't care about WoW anymore, but I want to say that even if I play WoW, I still support you.
MoP may seem silly, but i'm one of those people who care about gameplay, aside from how the game's old story is to newer joke-to-serious stories. I just hope it will be better than Cata, it was a mess blizz even tried.
It be cool if you try MoP when it comes out, but you're a free person and you should do what you want.

I love your take on MW3, because that's just what MW3 is... It's barely anything. I totally agree with you regarding WoW too - the game is dead. It's probably an amazing dream for the casual player, but... It's different for those who started during Vanilla. It went from one amazing gaming experience and slowly went down-hill.
I am seriously looking forward to your coverage of GW2 and SWTOR. The WTF series is amazing as are the Terraria videos.
As for MoP? I'm probably in the minority of veteran players who is actually excited for it. All that said I can understand the aversion to it but I just don't agree with it. That's it.
I feel the same way about wow. It makes me sad to think back at all the good times I had and I've gone back more than once on nostalgia. As for MW3 I love that angry birds comment. CoD4 and all of its clones seem to need very little thinking which is nice sometimes.
In WoWs defence remember Pandarians where in warcraft lore so its not like they on day went "OMFG LETS PUT PANDAS IN!?" that was done in warcraft so its half acceptable. I definitely know how TB feels about WoW as I'm sure many people do. I received a scroll of rezz from my online friends and it's great to play with them again...but if they're not online then there's absolutely no fun left in the game. So now I'm working on converting them to other games, which I believe TB's WTF is episodes should help me open their eyes to more and more games. (b^-^)b

TB, you could consider something along the lines of a "Hyper WTF is Skyrim". Given that many many of your viewers will pay very close attention to your impressions, why not record your first, say, 4 hours of gameplay and release them in 4 or 8 parts? That way you satisfy your viewers while still having some benefits of your own. :) No "let´s play", just an in-depth look of what´s maybe going to be THE state-of-the-art RPG. And no, first impressions are never dumb, they´re just first impressions.

I do agree with TB to a point about the WoW expansion. It feels like a twelve year old came up with the idea. BUT that being said, I will be trying out the beta. Its not released yet, the beta isn't even out yet so hopefully some content will be changed before the the finally release. It will at least give me a idea for the feel of it. if by the end of the beta, I feel it truly sucks...I just won't buy it.
I 'm really looking forward to Guild Wars 2.....oh I can't wait.

@Dale1cool Pretty much. The current set of developers have done a fine job of chasing off a good chunk of the games' core audience. I doubt the game's dying by any stretch, but I do believe the plateau is fixed firmly in the rear-view mirror.

I do share some of your apprehensions about Mists of Pandaria. When they announced Cataclysm, Metzen gave the exact same speech about the ratcheting-up war between the Alliance and Horde, which wound up only expressed in a handful of low-level and a single high level questing zones. Hearing him repeat the same sell made me roll my eyes.
However, the announced features shouldn't be judged until they're actually demonstrated I think. Can't fairly judge something that hasn't even been seen.

Also, the Monk class of no auto attacks/ rolling are direct copies of Guild Wars 2 and SWTOR, as are the PvE Scenarios. And don't even get me started on Companion Pet battles...

After I heard the news on the wow expansion my second thought was "Man, I can't wait to hear TB's opinion on this" (with my first being "Wait, that's all they're releasing? Sounds like a glorified and expensive content patch"), so I was actually a tad disappointed to hear that small and controlled reaction.
Regardless, I love this channel, and I look forward to whatever content you put out. But make sure that you keep yourself healthy too!!!

MoP may seem silly, but i'm one of those people who care about gameplay, aside from how the game's old story is to newer joke-to-serious stories. I just hope it will be better than Cata, it was a mess blizz even tried.

In WoWs defence remember Pandarians where in warcraft lore so its not like they on day went "OMFG LETS PUT PANDAS IN!?" that was done in warcraft so its half acceptable. @jnthn1984 You're also forgetting a known fact that Blizzard/Vivendi/Whatever buy studios/developers and their ideas before they hit the market - to become a potential threat to WoW. Hence WoW became an amazing game... Because they made one amazing game (at first) and then, they had the money = Unstoppable. Blizzard are NOT innovative, roflmao. (So I agree with you) - And they haven't been for several years. Rift is way more innovative. Old republic, the same - also GW2, of course.
