  • Let me guess, that was Harriet fucking Harmen.

  • We got a whole lot of them STATEWIDE!

  • this guy is funny

  • pay for it in one form or another.

    diamond rings or cash.

  • CAPITALISM! yeah!

  • what video did Cenk attempt a Scottish acent?

being Scottish I think that'd be a laugh to hear =)

  • I dont see why prostitution is illegal

  • I came to america to use the internet just for this ?

  • @ 1:38 double face palm fail

  • I believe this usage of the word "punt" is cockney rhyming slang.

  • cool, jayar got a real camera, the tyt budget is looking good? wtg guys.

prostitution reviews. just another step toward the corporate material world. everyone happy with that?

  • This was a stunt from Harriet Harperson of the Zanu Liebore government. She will not be in post much longer.

  • EPIC DOUBLE FACEPALM

  • 1:40 OMG they did the exact same thing holy sh*t!! XD

  • You know what's even more degrading than prostitution?

Punishing vulnerable women through arrest and imprisonment. Giving vulnerable girls a criminal record they are forced to carry around with them for life, hindering any effort to break free from the lifestyle and get a normal job!

  • hey what if the prostitues are writing the good reviews of themselves...

  • Harriet Harman was at the Labour Party conference when she announced this. This was done to make news- referring to Arnie like that would generate press. It's the last dieing efforts of a government that's lost the plot.

  • Prostitution shouldn't be legal because we cannot legalize treating another human being like on object. The fact that some women are so poor/ desperate or emotionally retarded to do it doesn't change a thing. They should be given help instead.

  • theres alot of woman that do it for pleasure and they're getting good pay for it, however i think that the government instead of making it ilegal should just check and see if theres any prostitute that is being forced.

  • so, do you think should pron be illegal? I mean same thing, just adding a camera and crew....

  • "we cannot legalize treating another human being like on object."

That happens in most jobs, not just prostitution. A friend of mine who does a bit of whoring seems to think it's less degrading than office work.

At least a whore only sells heir body, not their mind the way salesmen and advertising execs do, or their conscience the way lawyers do, or their soul the way televangelists and politicians do.

The vast majority of jobs are done because people are poor or desperate.

  • It's not so much as selling their whatevers for which job, but choosing to give it away. There are lots of salespeople with minds (and even good hearts), lawyers with consciences, and politicians with souls. I won't talk about the televangelists, though. ;)

Politicians with souls usually don't get many votes, either. ;)

  • Your talking about wage slavery, right?

  • "Your talking about wage slavery, right? "

Yes. Though technically I suppose it's exploitation rather than actual slavery.

  • This report on Samantha was quite some eloquent praise, far from "degrading to women". I think that British minister is probably not getting enough and hating too much.

  • The british minister is an ardent feminist. Essentially makes most of her political captial on sensational stories like this.

  • we have a site like this in the Toronto area..theres even a section to review craigslist ads LOL

  • CA legalize pot and prostitution soon,

free up your prisons for more serious crimes,

  • If prostitution is legal, why not?

  • Degrading to women? Isn´t prostitution degrading to women?

  • I've noticed that Young Turks talk about prostitutes many times

  • wait, what was the name of the site?

  • 0:23 HELL NAH!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha, at the end...

Keep fucking them with their own ideas, Cenk, go for it! xD

  • 1:38 BITCHSLAP! Hehe.. my father could make up jokes like that.. and he does.. Oh, the awkward silence at the dinner table...

  • We already have this website, it's called SFRedbook, haha.

  • There's also TheEroticReview.

  • Yeah, that's a nationwide one, and SFRedbook is a Cali thing, with some Nevada (Las Vegas)

  • massive facepalm @ cenks pimp comment

  • Women have the right to sell anything they own. If she wants to sell sex....and a man is stupid enough to pay for it....then she is awesome. The govt has no place telling women they cant sell something they own.

  • 1:39 Haha

  • A "punter" is a customer, usually used in gambling lingo, and a "punt" is usually a bet.

  • Loved Cenk's take on Arnold.Man,that had me cracking up!Also his take on Samantha, wanting to do her simply so he could rub it in the besotted reviewer's face.Classic.

On another note,if everyone concerned is 18 and older, disease free, and consenting, what is the problem? If a woman chooses to do this for a living so she can work a few hours a night, have time to be at home with her kids or to attend college, shouldn't we applaud her rather than turn her into a criminal?

  • Well, it's because a man is getting pleasure from it, and a man getting pleasure is the biggest crime of all. I mean hell, a happy, unstressed, relaxed man is the worst thing in society. That would lead to less violence(because got laid, relieves tension), longer life(because got laid, relieves stress) and I'm sure a fury of other things aswell. I mean hell look at Holland for example.

  • ON IT NOW BABY!

    LOL

  • Cenk IS i P.I.M.P.

    a

    Playa

    In

    Management

    Position

    lol

  • So whats up your ass

  • i dont see the problem

  • whats to stop a whore from getting her friends to make up good reviews ?

  • 1:33 lol i almost choked on my soda wen Cenk said that

  • I hate the exploitation of women and all, but I gotta agree, this site will only improve the situation overall...

MY ONLY PROBLEM WITH IT: it doesn't go BOTH ways, i.e. it isn't a true marketplace for both sides! (where the sides make contracts online and the GIRLS are able to leave feedbacks too!!! Like 'this guy was a drunk, abusive motherfucker' etc so the other girls would know)

  • That makes sense, it's a 'service industry' so you're not going to have, say, restaraunts or hotels that would get to rate their customers. They just kick them out if they're being jackasses or involve the authorities if they're not paying up or some other illegal activity. Don't mistake me though, I take your point that the women seem to be getting treated like products instead of people and I think Cenk is very quick to give issues related to sex a pass.

  • what are you talking about?!

even ebay (and many other marketplaces) have this capability, the seller can rate the buyer and vice versa!

  • A marketplace is not the same as a hotel or restaurant. And the service they're describing here apparently doesn't have this either; that's what he was talking about I think.

  • 1:39

the double facepalm, the deadliest embarressment.

  • A punter is a customer.

  • I like Jayars new table.

  • great stuff, TYT!

  • this is such a funny video

the site is a good idea

  • sercely are you sure prostion is legle here

  • this video was so funny

  • ana needs to calmdown. she too damn serious sometimes

  • BABY DICK MAN is tommy gimler vid. he has strong views on prostitution i believe. you could just look it up and leave me alone next time lol.

  • lol wtf? what is BABY DICK MAN?!?!?!?

  • lol! except it's ALOT like the vid for BABY DICK MAN hahahaha!!!!!!!!

  • omg thiss made me have such a more positive view of prostitution

  • the british have online gambling sites aimed at u.s. cutomers. american casinos are barred from online gambling.

    what is their problem?

  • "'...Cause I'm a P-I-M-P." and then the double facepalm, brilliant Cenk, absolutely brilliant.

  • If you have trouble finding the site, it's:

    punternet(dot)com

  • Haha, exactly what TYT said. I don't even know the existence of such a site called punternet. I don't live in England but I am checking out the site right now! So yeah, that woman politcian definitely creates an opposite effect! I always thought punter related to gambling, but apparently I'm wrong. =P

  • I couldn't find the site in the 60 seconds I tried.

No, I don't live in England. Just curious.

  • dont think its degrading at all most are drug free and not dependent on money who do it because they enjoy offering a girlfriend experience and isnt always about sex alot of bachelor men use them to clean there apartments naked etc and is just harmless fun, i think the site is great cos it separates the decent ones from the drug addicts ,trafficked and pimped victims and suprised they dont use it to crackdown in that area rather then sweeping it under the carpet

  • lmao, cenk, don't b naive she way more than doubled the users. if americans know about it then i'll bet every guy in the uk uses it

  • 1:39

    Double Facepalm = win.

  • how is the review site a "degradation"? if its open market, its GAME ON. besides prostitution is not a degradation of women in and of itself. they choose that profession, its their job, its a service in demand ... all in all, no big deal. and at the end of the day they make lots of good money doing it and work whenever the hell they feel like it.. they take customers they want to sleep with (prolly would anyway) AND get paid A LOT for it too!!! advantage - prostitute. crusty old brit = hater

  • someone respond with the URL. i cant seem to get it right.

  • Cenk = PIMP

  • pause it at 1:39 DOUBLE FACEPALM!!!! lol

  • As a female who is not a prostitute I have to say: GO GIRLS! There is NOTHING to hide, if you are good, let everybody know, if you suck (no pun intended, actually, yes) you have to live with the consequences. It`s a business.

In fact, how about a whore ID proving she is not a slave and had a recent physical. And a blow job class or something. Free market with some rules to protect the weak, yeah!

  • That accent kinda sounded Albanian!! A lil bit.....I know a few of my friends that talk like that!!

  • I actually facepalmed with them at 1:38 XD

  • "It'll improve the quality of the whores in England." I would literally pay money to be able to say that phrase in everyday conversation.

  • allow harriet harman and her waste self

  • Punter is just the name given to a customer. Works for customers of prostitutes, customers in pubs, and so on. English vocabulary FTW.

  • Streisand effect. Nice work, minister.

  • lol free market

  • Keep rolling Free Market..keep it rollin..

  • That Samantha review sounded like a woman wrote it. Couldn't make the prostitutes fake files and make there own reviews.

  • Punter is just like a customer or user.

  • degrades women?? no it degrades prostitutes, which i dont know if you can really degrade.

  • So you view prostitutes as less human than you?

  • Lol go free market ! :)

On a serious note you either allow prostitution or you dont. Thats the real debatte, you cant say its okay/legal but try to ban a site like this, it doesent make any sense.

  • 1:39

when one facepalm just isn't enough....

  • yeah, to help all americans on this, Harriet Harman is about as sane as Rush Limbaugh.

  • Synchronised face-palm :P

  • 4:56 hahahaha

  • Harman (or as she's sometimes known, Harperson) is absolutely mad, wants to legislate equality all over the social sphere. She recently said that the Labour Party couldn't again have a male leader and male deputy because men weren't fit for it, she's an absolute embarrassment. She and Jacqui Smith attempted to make prostitution illegal, when we should be legalizing and regulating. Prostitution is degrading, this site is digusting, the government should help women get out it, but this is garbage

  • Free market!

  • Haha, pause at the double face palm @ 1:38, awesome screen shot.

  • I know Cenk was joking at the end but seriously this seems a hell of a lot better than making prostitution illegal and leave those women under a pimp.

  • A punter is a customer.

  • "Handing out clean needles to poor minorities in the inner city won't solve the problem. "

But it would solve the problem the solution is meant to rectify: the problem of spreading of disease through dirty needles.

  • True, but it wouldn't stop the trade. Some would still get illegal drugs if it is cheaper than what companies sell.

Same with prostitution. It's regulated and legal in the Netherlands but there is a huge problem over there with human trafficking of sex slaves from developing nations. The prostitution industry makes a lot more money with these girls because they don't have to pay them as much and don't have to worry about consequences of what might happen to them.

  • "True, but it wouldn't stop the trade. Some would still get illegal drugs if it is cheaper than what companies sell."

    So?

    "Same with prostitution."

    Again, so?

You're assuming that drugs and prostitution are intrinsically bad in and of themselves. I disagree.

  • "You're assuming that drugs and prostitution are intrinsically bad"

I don't know about some drugs but I think a situation where some people feel the need to sell their own bodies (notice it's mostly females) says something about gender relations and the economic state of society. How would you feel if your mother or daughter or sister became one?

sisyphe (dot) org / spip (dot) php ? article108

I think this nicely sums up what you're ignoring in your zeal to defend lifestylist habits.

  • You can make the same argument against alcohol, fatty foods, stressful situations etc. As an adult, you make a great many decisions in your life. The government should protect you from outside sources, not yourself.

  • There is no economic necessity to consume any of those things. Unlike those most of those things prostitutes are in the business out of necessity.

  • There isn't a necessity for anything that is harmful to you. We could conceivably exist while eliminating everything that is potentially harmful to us. Is that really existing?

  • Now your logic is wandering onto the same train of thought that right-wing libertarians use to argue against regulation of industry or against a single-payer healthcare system.

The roots of why most prostitutes get into prostitution is pretty simple: poverty and lack of education (which is why they are almost uniformly poor). Cut down poverty and improve the quality of education in poor areas and I guarantee many would cease being prostitutes (if they can escape from the pimps).

  • If that is what you think than you misunderstand my position. Obviously cutting down the need for prostitution is ideal. I don't understand the logic of limiting the option to do so if that is what one desires. I know that this is not the majority of the situation, but some women enter in to prostitution not necessarily out of need but for upward mobility. They decide the gain in income is worth it. Who are you and I to say that engage in a victimless activity if she so choses?

  • Well, I understand what you're saying in the context of a free and democratic society where poverty and illiteracy are at a minimum and men and women have become more or less fully equal socially and economically. But we don't live in such a society (at least yet). In the currently-existing society most people who are into it do so out of financial need. That's why I don't like calling it "victimless" in the context of current society.

In an ideal society I would fully agree.

  • I think legalization would solve most of the problems. Make it safe, controlled, and protect the women that are forced in to it economically.

  • Prostitution being a woman's job has nothing to do with economic states of society.

There's more female prostitutes because there are more MEN willing to pay for it.

    That's why.

To not see this, is simply silly.

  • Do you have any studies which shows there is less of a demand for sex among women?

  • i dont view prostitutes as less human than i am, im just saying that when you subject yourself to this kind of thing by selling yourself for sex, you obviously dont care about being degraded.

  • Some people would say the same thing about the average tool sitting a cubicle as well.

  • "As for the drug trade what do you honestly think turning it into a legit business would do? The companies would just become legal dealers and the drug problem would remain."

The problems with illegal drugs is not that they kill people, it's that the only people who provide illegal drugs are criminals and they can not be regulated.

Providers of legal drugs (such as tobacco, alchohol and medicine) on the other hand can be.

  • "The problems with illegal drugs is not that they kill people"

I'm pretty sure you live a middle class life and aren't related to anyone affected by the drug trade when you say things like that. Come say that to a black kid in Baltimore whose mom will be out to night in a crack house.

If legal drug providers sold regulated drugs it wouldn't stop the crack/meth epidemic one bit. Then companies would just push these drugs even harder since they can make a profit from them.

  • Can't you read? There's a difference between the dsrug problem and the drug trade problem. Drug-related deaths occur because they are criminalized, not because they are poison.

I'm not saying that drugs are safe. But people die every day because of alchohol, do you want that criminalized? How about cars?

  • You may not be able to read but I'm not able to write. What I meant to say was that a lot of drug-related deaths are a direct consequence of drugs being illegal.

    Not all, but a lot.

  • "Drug-related deaths occur because they are criminalized"

Drug-related deaths occur due to overdose, violent drug dealers or diseases. If the drug trade were regulated the companies would simply become the dealers and they would start pushing for all Americans to become drug addicts.

  • "But let's consider: why is sex a commodity in the first place? Why has sex been consumerized?"

That's like asking why food has been consumerized.

  • Apples and oranges. All people need food. Middle class and rich people generally don't become prostitutes. Prostitutes are almost uniformly poor and FEMALE (notice the big lack of male prostitutes?) It's a creation of poverty and patriarchy.

condomassault - We don't live in a society free of class distinctions and gender inequality. In a world that was more equal if people freely went into prostitution that might be different. But in the real world most prostitutes do it out of necessity.

  • People need food and people need sex. Not everyone can grow their own food, so they buy it. Not all people can attract mates, so they buy them.

Apples and oranges, but it's still fruit.

  • "Middle class and rich people generally don't become prostitutes. Prostitutes are almost uniformly poor and FEMALE."

You think will remain so if prostitution were legal and regulated? I don't.

  • Would it remain so if prostitution were legalized and regulated? I don't know but I think the number of prostitutes would decrease. If good-paying jobs were created in low-income areas I think it would decrease even less.

People do need sex but I don't think using poor people as an underclass to service people who can't find a mate is a good thing.

  • "It's a creation of poverty and patriarchy. "

    ...aided and abetted by criminalization.

  • "It's a creation of poverty and patriarchy. "

And it's aided and abetted by criminalization.

  • The word 'punter' has a more general meaning than that. It can refer to customers of pubs, betting houses, brothels etc., to customers of services not suitable for children I suppose. It's not an insulting term and bookies and pub owners use it all the time on TV.

  • This is a non-story.

  • I wonder if there's a "bargain basement" section on the site.

  • Just remember...a free market isn't exactly a "free market" without prostitution! XD

...also, I'm sorry mister moral man opposer (with purely inentional ethical ideas), did you have something to say?

  • "Probably?", Cenk?! OOPS!

Mrs. Cenk is waiting for him at home with a can of whoopass in her hand.

  • he isn't married lol

  • cenk is married

  • cenk's got a wifey

  • i thought a 'punter' was a customer, anyway i'm def checking out this site...

  • Its another dumb move, by making a ridiculous request Harriet Harmon has given free publicity to the website.

  • lol facepalm hahaha

  • Punt means taking a chance

  • Punt means to hit something hard.

    : )

  • English, never heard of "punt" in a sexual context

  • Love the double facepalm.

  • Ugh Harriet Harman has a problem with EVERYTHING - she flipped when they replaced a judge on a reality show!

  • 1:39 DOUBLE FACE PALM FTW!!!

  • a punt is a 'gamble' for us BRITS!

  • That's what I thought when I heard it. I put a punt on the Grand National hehe.

  • i got to check the website out now lol

  • cenk the P.I,M.P.!!! lol. love his bad accents

  • They have the same type of websites here in the US. I saw it mentioned on a CNBC special.

  • Goddamn Cenk is a fucking huge dork!

  • I will not discuss this issue ! What has L. A . to do with Hookers ? Bikers ! Drugs !--slaves. In germany we have flatrate ! He's called the prince from Ahnheuser ,lives in L.a. and has three ,maybe 10 brothels in europe ! yOU FOLKS ARE SO NAIVE -AND THE pIGS DUMB ! THANKS crew.

  • It should absolutely be legal, regulated, and taxed. Imagine how much revenue it would bring in, and because it is not driven underground we could catch abuse more easily.

  • that's the only time I've ever heard Cenk say, "go free market!"

  • punter (plural punters) 1. One who bets (punts) against the bank (banque). 2. One who oars or poles a punt (pontoon). 3. One who punts a football; also, one who propels a punt (pontoon). 4. (British, slang) one who gambles. See speculator. 5. (British, slang) A customer, often used to refer to the customer of a prostitute. 6. (British, slang) A regular customer of a particular pub or other drinking establishment.

  • Being a ho should be legal everywhere. Like it really makes absolutely no sense to me at all why its illegal. People fuck all the time but instead of it being free the girl wants some compensation for it. I wouldn't wanna participate in it but whoever wants to should be able to.

  • It sounds like a "punt" means to have a "go" at it.

    I'd "punt" that.

    I'd "hit" that.

  • every job means to satisfy the one who pays you ....so.....

  • A punt is a kick. So you can use it in a sense that you are giving something a go. "I'll have a punt at doing that".

Or a punt is a punter (a customer in a pub or something).

They are the only two ways it is used in England.

  • A "punt"? I thought a punter was a tourist, a noob, a tenderfoot. Gee whiz, what did I know?

Cenk: "The free market at work!" Hahahaha....

  • Having sex with a prostitute in England is illegal. As in the poor women aren't prosicuted but anyone else involved. It is to look after the vulnerable women.

Ps: No1 here cares about Hariet Harmann, so you don't need to pay attention to her either :)

  • Prostitute + Cunt = "Punt"?

    That's my best guess.

  • I particularly think this Website is a good, legitimate idea, BUT it has to be overseen by an active moderation team. Just so the reviews don't turn into unfair bashing and serve to expose the girls to ridiculous out of some malicious purpose.

  • Dude really? You're "P.I.M.P"? No! LOL, that was funny but it stops at that. How does prostitution not degrade women? I'm surprised this isn't on the news, the fact that Arnold has this on his site! WOW. BTW I love this show. :)

  • Prostitution is a consensual thing in most cases, these women are only bringing themselves down.

  • Degrades women? Prostitutes degrade themselves, unless forced into sex labor. Then, that's another story. but i hate this feminist bullshit propaganda that going to strip clubs and prostitute houses is degrading towards women. They degrade themselves by doing it. I just partake in it.

  • "They degrade themselves by doing it. I just partake in it."

That's the kind of attitude that keeps things like the drug trade going.

  • But drug use is a good thing

  • Lol. Well, it's alright if you're a middle class or wealthy person who can use drugs casually and run to rehab if you start screwing around too much.

If you're a poor person getting high to escape reality it's not a "victimless crime". Try coming to Baltimore and seeing a crack house some time.

  • completely destitute people will do all manner of degrading things for cash/drugs. But you can't write off an entire industry because of some bad issues present. Besides, the industry can be evil BECAUSE it is criminalized.

  • But let's consider: why is sex a commodity in the first place? Why has sex been consumerized?

As for the drug trade what do you honestly think turning it into a legit business would do? The companies would just become legal dealers and the drug problem would remain. Handing out clean needles to poor minorities in the inner city won't solve the problem.

  • But drug use doesn't necessarily lead to addiction. And if people use drugs to escape reality due to hardship or poverty, so what?

Seems like a good reason to use for me

  • How many drug users aren't addicted? Not many.

"And if people use drugs to escape reality due to hardship or poverty, so what?"

So what is that it kills them and leads many to become homeless or destitute. Like I said I can tell you probably don't know anyone who the drug trade has ever affected personally.

  • So, a striper is a prostitute? And yes prostitutes do degrade themselves. Whoever said they didn't is crazy, but to insinuate that it isn't degrading to other women is to say men who beat their wives don't make men who don't look bad. That's just real shit my friend.

  • "In liberal feminism, prostitution is conceived of in the contractrarian sense of being a private business transaction. Radical feminists, on the other hand, view a prostitute as a human being who has been reduced to a piece of merchandise. The liberal contends that a woman is free to enter into contracts. However, the radical feminist does not believe that a prostitutes desire to enter into such a contract is done of her own free will."

  • I'm from England, I thought it was Illegal here, although I'm not totally sure.

  • The word punter may refer to: * A British, Australian and Hiberno (Irish) English colloquial term for a paying guest or customer, especially o a patron of a public house o a patron of a brothel o a gambler, particularly an amateur betting on horse racing or a player in the game of Baccarat o a beginner skier or snowboarder, especially one with p
