Blake Griffin is no doubt the best player in this draft, i think history will repeat itself like it did this year with the best 2 players going 1 and 2. Rubio is going to be great if he continues to develop and get stronger. Blake Griffin is basically Carlos Boozer with the athleticism of an Amare Stoudemire but bigger, i mean theres no much more to say about a guy like that.

For every Shaq, LeBron, and Duncan, there's bound to be a Kwame Brown or a Michael Olowakandi (who the Clippers took the last time they won the lottery). And the jury's still out on Greg Oden.

Actually, the system right now is a lot better than it was when it first started out. The first draft lottery was a disaster. The team with the worst record that year (Golden State) got the 7th and final lottery pick, but that was largely overshadowed by allegations that the lottery was rigged in favor of the New York Knicks. In 1987, the lottery was changed to where only the top 3 picks were determined to ensure that teams did not drop more than 3 spots.

If Kaman and Davis come into camp in shape and have solid years, this team could do some damage in the western conference. Wizards are the Clippers of the East. One good year and always injured.

Unfortunately, the lottery is necessary in the NBA. Otherwise, you'll have teams whose seasons are going nowhere start "tanking" games because they know they'll be guaranteed that first pick in the draft with the worst record. To be fair, though, NFL teams already have enough incentive not to "tank" games for higher draft picks; the NFL doesn't have a rookie scale like the NBA does, and thus teams don't want those top 10 picks in the NFL because of the high salaries those picks command.
