i myself am a burn survivor and in my case i wasnt as lucky as they were to have people help. for me there were more than 30 people in their vehicles just watching as i struggled to get myself out of my vehicle. i suffered 3rd and 4th degree burns but that isnt anything compared to the emotional aspect that comes after when your healed. im only 20 years old and 7 months in 2 my long 12-18 month recovery i now have a new appreciation for firefighters and the burn community.

These firemen deserve medals and a BIG bonu$! I remember hearing about an incident similar to this happening somewhere (can't recall where). A mom and her child werre rescued from a burning car. Their woman's husband owned a sporting goods store. He was so greatfull, he gave a $12K pool table to the Fire Dept. that saved his family. Hope those firefighters are enjoying that table! They deserve it! (Eight-ball in the corner pocket.)

Untill your in this situation you cannot comment on how you would act. I have been in this sitiuation before, unfortunately my outcome was not so well, the 18 month old that was trapped in the residence did not survive I had the horror of finding him. Those are images that will never leave your mind and I prey no one ever has to be in that position. May God be with this family and those who helped.

All of u guys are saying fire fighter this and that, but u have 2 remember, it wasn't only fire fighters it was also ordinary civilians. Yes, those fire fighters deserve credit, but those civilians who helped also deserve equal if not more credit for attempting to rescue the family. I am 48 year old man who has a 3-year old little boy. I am crying while I write this. I am a former EMT who has seen his fair share of tragedies. I can say without a doubt that this footage is the single most amazing thing I have ever seen. Each and every one of those bystanders should be commended. I am completely in awe of their efforts which saved a little boys life. Simply amazing!!!
