Wow - can't wait to try these - absolutely LOVE that they are "no bake". Has anyone tried them with almond milk instead of regular milk? We don't usually keep regular milk on hand.
@RSHealthSolutions I'm not sure if anyone has tried it with almond milk yet. If you try it I hope you'll come back and leave a comment with the results. A lot of the viewers do have multiple allergies so I'm sure a many will be interested in the results.
@kyuui007 Gluten is a protein found in wheat, rye, barley and some oats. Butter is gluten free since it is derived from milk. People with a lactose intolerance or casein allergy need to avoid it. Those people could substitute coconut butter. I haven't tested it but imagine it would work out just fine.
@GoboSpeaks Hey Jill, Peanut butter works even better than the nutella. My daughter refuses to eat peanut butter so I converted the recipe to nutella. Go for the peanut butter. But don't eat to many cause it's jilloween.
@slolita1 Thank you Sandy, The ball version tasted better too in my opinion since the nuts I used were salted. The ones without the nuts were slightly too sweet for my own personal taste. I'd rather eat a good plate of spicy food than dessert.
@WatchToddPattison My mom used to make a version of these too but she used peanut butter. My daughter doesn't like peanut butter so I thought I'd try a nutella version. They were reallly good especially the ones rolled in chopped nuts.
Looks delish!! My husband can't have oats, spelt. So, I think I will use rye flakes, and to avoid the dairy in nutella, I will use hazelnut butter, add pure chocolate powder and sweetened with medjool dates, will see how it goes. Thank you!
