This is such a great song. Yeah, she does sound quiet and first then she starts belting out, but it still sounds good. Remember though, this is her real voice and she isn't using auto-tune this time. Plus, sometimes singers who have been singing for a long time do little things to maintain their voice. Def jam did an amazing job with TEOM. Memoirs was her best work since Butterfly and they did nothing. No promo. I guess def jam thinks she didn't need the promo with the amount of success TEOM got and combine it with it being *The Mariah Carey* and the amount of fans and people who already know her name. They probably thought she would sell no matter what with no promotion.. therefore not seeing it a priority to promote her and the album.

If you people cannot decide if this is a "live" performance or not, you most probably don't know anything about music. This is a 100% live vocaling. Only thing that can be is this song has so lo-tones, that a performer may not utter early in the morning, or with full stomach. This performance is a good enough one, but not close to the notes in the original recording. Mariah Carey would never lose her vocaling, because her style of vocaling needs steady practise, and SHE DOES IT PERFECT!

I work in the business and i worked on an awards show with her. I am not judging her because i am not friends with her so i don't know her intimately. I just had a diva experience with her and me just saying happy valentines day wasn't a marriage proposal. She also got mad at me cause i gave her a diet coke instead of a regular coke..but it was on a list from her assistant of things she eats and drinks..It wasn't my fault.
About the sunglasses, you know that has always been my biggest problem with Mariah Carey, she has always had this diva attitude. I couldn't really tell that she had a cold. All of these people that are saying that she has lost her voice are haters, she still has it, she can still hit those dog whistles. Who doesn't have off days? You know? She does admit to not singing well early in the morning.

I work in the business and i worked on an awards show with her. I am not judging her because i am not friends with her so i don't know her intimately. I just had a diva experience with her and me just saying happy valentines day wasn't a marriage proposal. She also got mad at me cause i gave her a diet coke instead of a regular coke..but it was on a list from her assistant of things she eats and drinks..It wasn't my fault.

About the sunglasses, you know that has always been my biggest problem with Mariah Carey, she has always had this diva attitude. It's a turn off..I worked with her once on Valentines day and i said happy valentines day and she turned her head and ignored me..It wasn't like i meant it in some romantic way..I was being nice...

After all 587,876 people buy her albums giving Mariah 11,757,520 reasons to to be thankful people only ask her for her signature and nothing more.
