@HalfBloodPatronus And yet is your country better off because of it? No matter, as it is your country and you the people are in control of it through your representatives. If you were not happy with your system, then you would change it.
@jbranstetter04 I'm just saying that Politics should be about debating with passion for what your constituency wants. In this video it just seems like everybody is 'droning' on with no real enthusiasm for what they're doing. And of course the USA is going to be better off, it's bigger and with more trading etc.
@HalfBloodPatronus I think America will be OK in the end. Everyone celebrates China like they are the new beginning, but everything is not rosy over there. One slip up and millions will be starving in China. They have plenty to worry about. On another issue, the US has formal military alliances with over 50 countries, while China has none. There are reasons for that. If you were a country in that region, who would you chose to be influenced by, the US or China?
sorry! right about me being thick, not all the American conspiracy theory rubbish. Only someone living under
one of the worlds last monarchies could subscribe to such
junk. The good thing is that when all the fanatical dogmatic
religious nuts have taken over the world, the dogmatic human hating enviro speak nuts will be the first on the ideological menu to go. Humans have the tendency to not appreciate freedom until they lose it. Peace and love a thick Aussie
Did you miss a science class? You believe in a miracle? Buildings dont fall into the path of greatest resistance any other way than demolitions... I wish it weren't true.
Aussie - the US is not a democracy. But it would be a welcome return to traditional American values - enable the failing of the banks that were reckless, return to protecting the earnings of every person trading in USD. The govt must back off - because that is true American spirit - people living in liberty - to prosper on their good decision and fail under their bad blunders.
Now that the collapse has occurred, the reform roadblock built by Senate Democrats in 2005 is unforgivable.
We now know that many of the senators who protected Fannie and Freddie, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Christopher Dodd, have received mind-boggling levels of financial support from them over the years.
Thanks to 228 congressmen for Listening to the people. The American people need to stay on the phone with their congressman!!! find out who they are and what there phone is. KEEP it up!!!!!!!
Typical thick Aussie! America is the cause of all the illegal wars around the world - poor financial management by the Bush regime - war costs $Billions .. what a waste!
I'm an American Citizen, and I agree with you 100% Many Americans feel the same way. It seems we're so accustomed in this country to conflict being far away, that when people die on US soil we tend to over react. I think the public is starting to wake up to that fact a bit, hopefully we correct this situation before it's too late.
Call Nancy Pelosi @ (202) 225-0100 & let her know you want Congressional hearings investigating the mismanagement of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Tell her you want answers from Barney Frank and Chuck Schumer. Ask her why Franklin Raines and James Johnson were allowed to cook FM books enron style without being held accountable. Ask her why her democratic party refused reform of these entities in exchange for campaign donations.
KAREN-Thanks for sharing the proper way addressing these problems. Dems and Repubs, please come together on this and let's get corruption out of our government, let's clean up both parties and kill the weeds! These are issues that we are all being negatively affected by and should be working together on.
Pelosi is the biggest leftwing bitch out there. Why would you give a partisan speech to the GOP and call them unpatriotic when they are about to vote on the bill.
Wow, I'm glad that I'm British! Our parliament is actually entertaining!

I'm an Aussie' but this is an example of why America is
the last hope for liberty and freedom in the world. I am
ignorant of the politics involved here but to see true Democracy in action in the face of challenges so great
commands nothing but respect. I believe Americans will
overcome this current economic problem . Americans
are truly the "can do" people.
