The media has gone strangely silent on the whole issue, however. I'm going to have to contact the CBC and/or RCMP directly to get any info, and even then, I might get nothing.

Cst. Robinson is a good cop. He is innocent until proven guilty. Quit engaging in a witch-hunt. The public, in general, are only jealous because most RCMP and police have a very healthy income. This is a tragedy, but it in no way reflects the professionalism of upstanding police officers worldwide.

Don't think that an external police force investigating other police is going to be biased. You need somebody of a comparable profession to know what it's like, and this is also true of other professions like for example, a physician review board.

I don't understand why there's so much hatred towards police. Clearly he should be imprisoned for this, and for a long time, but to condemn all police because of the actions of one shows a complete lack of decency, respect and intelligence. Not all police are bad, and while none of them should be, pull your head out of the fantasy world that is your ass and realize that it's going to happen.

Not all police are bad, just some, and that's why it makes a news story - because it's a special case.
