  • WAY PERFECT!!! ALL WORKING IN A HUGE, HUGE GROUP ... what an accomplishment! Kudos to the creativity of the men, the BROTHER ACT, and the KPDRC for using modern psychology and simple humane treatment for rehab. BET IT GAVE HOPE. Just betcha.

  • Too bad the audience couldn't be quiet!

    Masyado kang madada!!

  • Somewhere, Laura Branigan is laughing her head off. Cool video.

  • We love this coz this is an act of kindness..the ability of many of us to look beyond the crimes they have committed....realizing that they are still human afterall.

  • they did this to boost the morale and give them something positive to focus on- i love watching the but can you imagine Peter Sutcliffe etc doing this

  • If the prisoners at the Clarke County Jail, Athens, GA started doing this, the redneck-peckerwood guards would freak out.

  • @Svalbard50 .... ROFLMAO .... no lie! BUT if we could get American prison systems to learn to adapt to NEW knowledge, new ways to DO things in GROUPS ... enhance predictability, give hope and pride too .... doesnt HAVE to be just dance ... can be ANYTHING cool, good! JUST LOVE IT, DIDNT YOU? Even tho, gotta agree. CAN U SEE THEIR FACES?! heeeheee!

  • Nice song and one more thing, R.I.P. Laura Branigan

  • @MultiJames95 Agreed!

  • Actually, if I were the government, I would be terrified of groups of criminals this large who had the motivation to be organized to this degree. This is a very important lesson in sociological conditioning. I want to be on the side of the guys in the orange jump suits when the Zombies come.

  • @Yellowhouse25 ... terrified? Since the USA has more prisoners behind bars for BS stuff, than ANY nation on the planet, we should be LEARNING how to use this info to better OUR situation. Things are NOT good. No hope, no new tools, no pride, just a lifetime of shame over a dumb prison record usually, a HUGE percent of the time, for something that used to be a mere misdemeanor, 'fixed' by a small fine! LETS CHANGE!

  • A good majority of these inmates are only in there because they have stolen or robbed to feed their families or themselves.welcome to the philippines and their corrupt government that refuses to help their people.Pathetic.

  • What are the requirements to be able to get into this dance troupe?

  • @WingsOfASnowhiteDove stealing will get u in mate

  • why do i love this?

  • is there some mexican languge in this song

  • @abbygrass13 Nope, it's all English, though the song is originally in Italian.

  • I think should be made mandatory at ALL prisons. They`ve got nuttin better do to do with their time.

  • wow nice video... luv it... God bless the inmates!!

  • @jeanplays3 perfect 'GLORIA'

  • That's amazing! How do they stay so perfectly together, especially when they are not all facing in the same direction? Are there several leaders whose moves they are following?

  • if you keep them preoccupied with dancing and getting the routine all day they will keep their minds off killing each other. I like that idea.

  • haha..some of them are really going for the dance moves

  • GLORIA!

  • Who trained these guys?! I'm impressed...

  • canzone meravigliosa, ti riempie di energia ... ma questo video mi fa venire da piangere

  • julietbravo69 how do you know they have victims... they could be simple thieves,, rules in their country a MUCH different then ours... wake up

  • I guess that if they would dance before, they would never have committed a crime.

People, get real - i am sure they are beatten up at nights if they refuse to dance at days!!!

  • Just waht I have always thought of the Philippines people. Really musical. Great song also.

  • hahhhaha great !

  • Oh my gosh, I want to be imprisoned in the Phillippines! Maybe I'll go over there and steal something from a store, and get sent to this fun prison! What an improvement that would be over my boring life.

  • @angelamarie88 I was just thinking the same thing. X:D

  • Gloria's song has 3 versions: Gloria by Umberto Tozzi in 1979 (Italy and the first one), Gloria by Parchis 1980 (Spain and launched to Europe and Latin America) and Gloria by Laura Branigan (US 1982). Why the people think Laura Branigan sung first this song?

  • amazing....!!!! laura always!!!!

  • AWESOME! REALLY GREAT!

  • amazing! keep it up you guys. you're doing good! hope that when you're out of jail your life turns for the better and only you can make that difference. good luck everyone! and thank you for the entertainment. let's dance! :0)

  • GO LAURA BRANIGAN!

  • the day i turn this computer on, and see them doing their thing to flashdances maniac,,,im going to have to be hospitalized for laughing so hard

  • awesome! everyone deserve a second chance!

  • Hope this can be all over the world in jails...I know some "jailbirds" here in my country (norway) and those i know have not actually chosen to be in jail but they have had a terrible life making them do terrible things to "survive" ...but they still are humans and deserve to get a 2. or maybe 3. chance to be rehabilitated to what we call normal life

  • Comment removed

  • if want to see inmates playing like professionals go to "orquesta sinfonica penintenciaria:Lirio Azul" this is a program developed for the Venezuelan Government to try to give to the inmates the chance to feel they are humans being again!

  • great things happen when a person has an aim in life..... some hope

  • lol

    ausom as in AWESOME hahahaha

  • If you watch the documentry on the prisoner,s you can just see anger and hate in there eye,s look at them when the dance ,there isnt any ,the routines are ausom ,and the dancer,s are ausom .

  • I understand they are Prisoner,s there in there for a reason ,What is better them in cells 23hrs a day ,when they get out of the cell ,testostral going wild ,there going to kick off ,This way ,as silly as it sounds ,they are occupied ,and I think the dancing is Ausom ,it keeps them fit ,Also those who hate dancing wont ever affend again .

  • @riam12 i alsoe thank thut yoo caunt spewull

  • may i direct those interested to an NYTimes article from january 8th - where it says: ".. those who signed up for auditions and made the troupe ..." - so clearly voluntary. The Aricle itself is called "Dance is part of rehabilitation at Philippine prison" by Alaexandra Seno - just google it ...

  • idenmark , you should watch your mouth you idiot , with a mosquito brain ,this is just a simple psychological and physical therapy to the inmates , we are a simple country , but if you mess up , I will even slap your mouth if your just beside me . Thank You .

  • This is the worst about going to prison, glad i live in Denmark though im not a criminal :P

  • est ce quelqu'un peut m'explique ce que c'est?

    ca se passe aux p

    ohilippines??

Opouruqoi ils dansent sur gloria de tozzi et une zik classique

  • hahaha only in the Philippines!

  • I wish Gloria will be incarcerated in that prison so that she can lead the dance!

  • ahahaha wala lang naalala ko lang si ate glo

  • I'm curious to know if these guys are volunteers or if this is a forced drill? Anyone actually know the answer?

  • Well....Would you ever volunteer to go to prison??? I dont think so.

  • I think you misunderstood the question, so, let me rephrase it.

While in prison, are these particular prisoners forced to participate in this dancing, or is the dancing done on a voluntary basis?

lol... I would think it is obvious no one would volunteer to enter prison.

    Have a good day. ;)

  • um, he probably meant the dancing stuff, not them being in prison you know.

  • Filipinos are well known for their love of dancing and singing - no party is really complete without a kareoke machine. I guess they are forced to dance but I do not think many would object as most of the time prisoners in Philippine jails are locked away for hours on end so I think any prisoner would jump at the chance of getting out of their cells. I am sure the poster Randy, an American, will know for sure as he lives in the Philippines and can be seen all around Bohol on his motorbike

  • We've all heard of 'hard labour' or whatever .. that's not the point. Should we televise executions as well?

  • beats studying the drug trade and forming gangs.. though im sure that still happens.. im betting a number of those guys have children watching...... based on the career criminals ive known.. id sugest replacing the word dignity with ego.. which all of us could afford to have degraded

  • Oh get real... what about the dignity of their victims of crime???!!

  • This is so eery weird. These guys are forced...to dance.

  • wow these guys r so great...so in sinc....should try this in the us...

  • it was an inspiring to watch these inmates from philippines it gives u courage and strength i 100% salute to byronfgarcia who got this great idea...keep up the good work

  • reminds me when i was still in grade school.

  • GLORIA is the name of the President of the Philippines...

and GLORIA has the ONLY POWER to PARDON PRISONERS. that commited GRAVE CRIMES..

that is why their calling HER NAME..!!

    hahahahahaha...CLEVER..!

  • wow!!!great performance!!!!!!!!!!everytime i go to utube,,i always look for their new dances,,,, they re so awesome and disciplined!!!!!!!!

  • ipa-kulong na si gloria arroyo.

  • JAJAJA.

  • This so fucking rules, man. Woner if Angola will try this. Nice!

  • Excellent !

  • You think, if everywhere did this they could have little international competitions.

  • jaja

  • I applaud all the hard work these guys put into the routines.

    Well Done!!

    Lisa UK

  • sadly some people come from a reality so heavy that prison is a better option. As many of these men have experienced.

    Thanks

  • if they did this in american prisons...no one would ever wanna leave

  • This wouldn't work in american prisons...too many knives..

  • i dont agree - i think it would work given time

  • impressive! cebu guys you are doing something really good.

  • "3" thumbs up !!! SUPERB !! FANTASTIC!!

  • this would be considered torture in the USA as some stupid politician would say : "The actions of the inmates promotes socialism" sigh....I feel sorry for the USA

  • Laura Branigan would have loved this! R.I.P. Laura we miss you.

  • Bravo!

  • Es buenisimo!

  • bravo...awesome

  • they are all talented. they way they move, it's awesome...

  • its great yeahhhh....

  • if i ever went to prison, id rather do this than play hide the soap w. buba (if i was a guy)

  • @tia0nero hell ya put im a guy so ya no hide the soap

  • @tia0nero Let's be honest, what's gayer; getting butt fucked, or doing a choreographed dance number to the song "Gloria"?

  • I bet if we did this in American prisons or at Gitmo it would be considered torture!

  • Amazing, really good ppl recorded it and uploaded it, hope other ones around the world take the example =D

  • who ever said that dancing is a cruel and unusual punishment???

  • @greenhorn0125 I think dancing is great for your heart beats seeing all of them killing each other like in regular prison USA prison should take advantage of the exercise
