Soul Calibur was the best game on the DC I think. Back then, everyone was playing on PS and N64, DC came along, Soul Calibur made people sit up and realise the DC was awesome. But then the PS2 came along.  Ahem.....

The dreamcast community is my favorite gaming community. There was something special about the dreamcast that I can't put my finger on. And to be frank, I never owned one. I rented the system from video stores, knowing that the system had financial problems. But it felt like my own. The system, when remembering it, feels like a great dream or adventure. What a horribly underrated system--I hope SEGA returns to the console market once more.

Nice to see DOA2 at the top. I'd argue it's the best fighter ever as beginners and pros can pick up and play/ learn it easily. It's just sheer perfection.

@ioport I totally agree with him, the 360 is like a new dreamcast or I wouldn't have bought one. Of course it's not 100% the same, but it has something about it that reminds me hugely of the Dreamcast. All we need now is more DC games to come to XBLA to make it even better.

@RG7621 thank....you! That's the reason I bought the 360, and why I started buying lots of games again. After the DC was discontinued there just wasn't much reason to buy any games. It was the start of the graphics over EVERYTHING era...and that's just not my style. DC games were (and still are) gorgeous, but they have fantastic gameplay!

The 360 reminds me of DC enough that the first day I bought mine (launch) I named the HD 'Dreamcast 2' using the name feature. XBLA needs more DC games!

Not only does Sega support the 360 with 3RD party but also the 360 has Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventure and Soul Calibur on Xbox Live Arcade. Hopefully with more DC games to come. I was not only referring to the DC games when I posted but just the overall quality of the 360 reminded me there hasn't been such a good console since the Dreamcast.
