Ron Paul has only one very good idea, and that is doing away with the fed. However, I think he still wants to go back to a gold standard and that will not work. Doing away with the fed and allowing money to be printed directly by the treasury without the need of issuing bonds in place of currency would certainly make the system more efficient. And as far as cutting spending goes, the truth is that the government should only cut spending in certain areas (shocker, that's too complicated for ron paul fans) and increase taxes on those who can afford to pay them to produce a surplus.

@danz177 They only report on the other 3 because that's where the race is. Paul's just in the background. Of course the media will be biased, that's why you look for unbiased sources. I suggest Gallup.com. As far as I know they are unbiased and have a good reputation. They aren't really a media group but rather a polling group so they take pride in accurate unbiased numbers. And they have Ron Paul in last. I know how delegates are elected, and Paul isn't going to win.

There would be less toxic dumping under a system Ron Paul would favor because property rights would be protected. @danz177 But Ron Paul is losing the delegate race too. Paul goal was to win small caucus states, but Santorum has won all of those. Romney is still in first. Of course un-pledged delegates can vote freely, but they will most likely follow their voters. I don't see how the three way fight between Gingrich, Romney, and Santorum is helping Paul in any way. If anything it's just pushing him out of the picture.

@danz177 They only report on the other 3 because that's where the race is. Paul's just in the background. Of course the media will be biased, that's why you look for unbiased sources. I suggest Gallup.com. As far as I know they are unbiased and have a good reputation. They aren't really a media group but rather a polling group so they take pride in accurate unbiased numbers. And they have Ron Paul in last. I know how delegates are elected, and Paul isn't going to win.
