@cheeriosinabowl Perhaps focusing so much on the messenger, it might help to focus upon the message. JB's message is spot on. For me 'trust" isn't really an issue here. First, I'm not a Christian. I see any institution of organized religion as being adulterated. Secondly, because in listening to Jim Bakker, I'm not placing anything at risk.

... well that's good that you aren't placing anything at risk. I am not a Christian either, but I did watch Jim and Tammy back in the day (1980's) for "entertainment". Tammy was the attraction factor on the show. What made me detest Jim was that thousands of PTL partners lost thousands of dollars with their Heritage USA memberships and never got their money back. I never did hear Jim at any point in time apologize to these suckers (members).

@cheeriosinabowl What troubles me the most isn't so much the investors in PTL's timeshare program, although that is problematic. I always thought people who buy timeshares of ANY kind should have their heads examined. What troubles me the most is the people who donated money they couldn't afford in the hopes that "god" would "heal their finances". Unfortunately, that corruption is found in most any organized religion. How could JB & TFB accept that money to support their lavish lifestyles??
