There should NOT be any copyright on these televised performances, the music was written for all to enjoy and you tube is a wonderful medium to enhance our knowledge of man's great creations.
I didnt realise and I don't understand that this piece isn't wide known, because it's really a grand masterpiece....But really truly so.... is has so much profoundness, it reminds me of Mozarts masterpiece and Ravel's Daphnes and Chloe... the same type of powerful movements...in some way
This is a terrific performance of a piece that needs a lot of care to pull off correctly. The chorus is well-prepared, the soprano handles her ungratefully written part rather stylishly, and the orchestra is clean and utterly responsive. But I reserve my highest praise for the conductor, who takes tempos that are expressive but not excessive and shapes the whole performance exquisitely. I'm not acquainted with this young maestro, but I'm keeping my eye on him. I'd buy a video of this!
