My daughter was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome @ 15 months. Her disease progressed to FSGS & she had two kidney transplants. Unfortunately, the disease reoccurred in her new kidneys within the first 24 hours. She is still sick. I know what it's like to have a child like Sam. It's not easy for the kids & it's not easy for the parents (partially because of ignorant people who ASSUME we feed our kids crappy food). My daughter eats better than MOST kids her age. My younger brother has the similar condition of Nephrotic Syndrome since he was 8 months old and is now 7, the condition has no cure and he has also been on Prednisone Steroid Medication ever since he was diagnosed. It is so hard caring for a child with his condition and worse is the fact that other adults and children insult him because of his weight caused by a condition he has no control of show some compassion, don't make it worse for a young child that is already suffering by insulting them
