Hmmm. I see a lot of comments made about this song. This is not Sri Lankan airlines theme song. Its a copy of my Air Lanka theme song on my channel presented with different slides. I have the copy of the promotional tape that I made from a cabin audio casette of L1011 Tristar when I worked for Air Lanka. Only one verse available on the tape and the narrator starts speaking after the first verse, so I edited and repeated verse 1 twice! You will not find that anywhere and this ain't original !!

This part missing in this song. As I said the singer's name in my earlier post it might Pad Olton , Pad Walton or Pad Walter. Any idea Exslbc.

This song originally sung by one Pad Olton. I don't know wether he is a srilankan[Burgur] or a foreign person. I once recorded it into a tape while I was in SL from SLBC english service. Before song start the announcer mentioning the name as Pad Olton. Please exslbc you can verify it because u have connection with SLBC.

I was the one who brought this song to the SLBC English record library. I was an operational assistant at the SLBC then. When Laddie Hettiarachchi from Grants Advertising brought this song on a spool tape to make the Air Lanka radio commercial, I borrowed the tape and dubbed on a 78RPM assetate disc in the
SLBC disc dubbing section and used to play this on many programmes. I am glad that I found the same song in good quality as the current 78 RPM disc we have in the SLBC is scratched.

Yes, this is the original Air Lanka theme song. We used to hear this in SLBC back in 1979. Even after 30 years, SriLankan couldn't come up with a better song. Drum beat is fantastic! Thanks for the upload.
