  • I like the way he says Cadillac DeVille.

  • I saw Ricardo Montalban years ago at the Tower Records on Sunset Blvd. He was driving a PRISTINE Chrysler Cordoba that must have been 20 years old at the time. He could still walk, but certainly his life long problems from the horse accident on the set of the 1951 film, Across the Wide Missouri, were getting to him as he was using a crutch. Wikipedia says he was paralyzed after surgery in 1993 to relieve the pain, but I swear I saw him after that still walking (with help).

  • Man is that all Ricardo ever advertised for Chrysler. Ricardo must of got free chryslers

  • Wow. Chrysler turblow power. How I miss those things.. NOT!

  • Pfft. Chrysler gave those cars lots of things, but none of them got fine Corinthian leather! :(

  • I would've liked to have seen Ricardo Montalban beat the hell out of that Dos Equis guy and then sell him a Chrysler!

  • Man, NO ONE did it better than him! Hands down!

  • Turbo power? To chase Kirk with i bet Khan.

  • KHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is a car that only the manufacturer could love....and thats stretching it

  • I wonder what Ricardo was thinking at the time when he had to look at those ugly boxy pieces of shit and go along with the script describing those "graceful lines." His advertising persona was awesome, and people actually bought them....LOL.

  • "The competition is good ... Khan had to be better"

  • Excellent slogan in this commercial.

  • He could even sell a handcart, many people (ladies specially) would buy it! Teehee.

  • Anybody ever wonder why Khan is walking around an assembly line in a 3 piece? Nah, not really, he's so cool he can pull it off at a kids soccer game

  • KHAN!!!! is doing a car commercial. lmgdfao.

  • I hate to admit it, but I only have ever driven "Asian Crap". I wish I could drive an American car. I wish they made something that wouldn't get recalled or Talk about built in obsolescence - Then read some of the comments previous in this string.

  • My friend- just waltz on down the Jeep dealer- solid American quality is waiting right there.

  • Name one mass market manufacturer that hasn't had a recall in the last two years.

  • R.I.P., Ricardo Montalban.. Gone! But, Not Forgotten!!!

  • Amen. You can be sure of that.

  • @LtGiant I second you!!

  • @LtGiant Well, now he's an immortal spirit in Heaven!

  • Today April 30 of 2009, Chrysler has gone into bankruptcy. Lets help Chrysler Corporation buying their cars instead of all that asian crap that is now running on our highways.

  • DITTO!!! DITTO!!! DITTO!!!

  • that asian crap has way better resale value than american cars, i wonder why...? o yeah, because the japanese know how to build cars that work, dumbass

  • MY Chrysler Fifth Avenue has points ignition. i took that stupid crappy leanburn computer out of it long ago.

  • That ONE reason i like Fifth Avenue. because it's luxury and NOT high tech. i can't drive the spaceships that today's cars are. give me good ol'e Chrysler engineering, a 318 V8 engine, and points ignition any day!

  • THe fifth avenue had electronic ignition lol but i understand what you ar saying.

  • Anyone remember the nightmare of the lean-burn ignitions? lol

  • Well ive seen two chryslers at cruise ins with the lean burn intact. But if it gets fussy you can just replace it with points.

  • I used to change ten Lean Burns a week when I worked at a Chrysler Dealer back in 1980....LOL...

  • ya those old lean burn systems were horrible but i do love Chrysler's from the 1980s i have a 1988 dodge 600 2.2l turbo and a 1978 Plymouth horizon with the 1.7l VW motor the lean burn system on my 78 horizon surprisingly hasn't gone bad iam glad.... since from the factory they were either good for life or crap forever

  • My 79 Chrysler 300 has a Mopar Performance Distributor kit in it now, no lean burn...There might be an old one still bolted to the air cleaner, I have a Chrome one on it now...

  • How ;bout GM Rochester Quadrajets- at least you could fix lean burn

  • @Lumotaku yeah but they made it a cinch to downgrade from any old vehicle with a 318. either one is better than that lean burn garbage

  • Goodnight, sweet prince.

    RIP.

  • the last car my late father owned was a new 1989 plymouth "K" car (my family still owns it). He bought it "loaded" for about $10,000. By that time the quality was getting much better on chrysler products. It was a real basic car but it was built pretty well.

  • lol something about them trying to make the fifth avenue surrounded by computers looking high tech.

  • R.I.P. Ricardo.

  • To this day, Ricardo could still sell me a car!

    Vaya con dios, mi amigo.

  • he was great RIP Ricardo

  • RIP, A great actor!! Thank You Ricardo!!

  • RIP Ricardo. And Thank You for Saying "Rich Corinthian Leather".

  • He never said that He said "Soft corinthian leather"

  • Not in this 1987 commercial, yet he said that in the 1975 Chrysler Cordoba TV commercial.

  • At first before I clicked on the video I thought it had Regis Philbin in it!

  • Mine is an '87, and it's great! Nice cushioned seats, turbo, tinted windows, great ride!

  • Excellent!

  • Nice!

  • AMAZING!
