Dotsymae, no need to attack the man. Yes, he's a tad messed up, no I don't like working with him, but there is no denying that he has a tremendous amount of talent. My students just had three days of workshops with Tyce, and I warned them that he was a bit of a dink in person (they were all swooning). The advanced dancers agreed he was a jerk, but he was absolutely amazing with the intermediates and juniors. When you work with professionals you expect professional level dancing, end of story

tyce is simply a great teacher (technique and whatnot). but i didn't say a good one (attitude). he's mean and very much demanding. and you know what, the man gets the job done in interesting spades and with an iron and spiked fist.

Ok little drooling tweens Take a reality check and watch the documentary on the remaking of Chorus Line when Tyce is just in the cattle call and audtioning. You'll see the real Tyce and it ain't pretty.

I should know..I've worked with him and he is so messed up psychologically he takes it out on the professional dancers. Don't even bother commenting because I spam all comments without reading them. What you see here is just someone in the big time (tv) when they belong in community theatre.

I know with shows like SYTYCD, the producers & such are always extremely careful about what's leaked out to the press. They were asking him some very leading questions, and it was clear that he was looking at someone or something to give him the answers. Mia came out & said that she had a history of sorts with Brandon, and that was why they feuded. Tyce knew that, but in this interview talked about everything hypothetically/carefully. Hmm....

Not trying to start a feud, just making a comment.

I think he's just very sort of awkwardly *aware* of the camera -- he does that sort of "deer in headlights" thing on the show sometimes too whenever they cut to him for a reaction after one of his pieces.

Sadly, teens aren't going to vote for the older dancers so much, so Evan makes sense. Too bad, because Ryan is really good.
