I'm not a pacifist in all circumstances... certainly I would advocate uprisings in the face of genocide (the holocaust example they touch on)... an "abhorrent" response is natural in the face of such insanity. However you cannot generalize on that basis. Certainly, within the context of my society (UK) any real progression relies on a revolution of the consciousness of society... violence is not compatible with this. We have to understand the structures that dictate our environment+development.

Our entire concept of reality is a sensual one and our physiological development is defined by every sensory experience we have. Developing brains are especially sensitive + children often cannot fully understand the situation... advocating firebombing and "hyper violence" to young children encourages neurological development that is counter to any social evolution of love + understanding.
