  • it shouldnt idle that high if its already warm, sounds like theres a problem

  • Hey i did have it warm big guyy rhe guage dosent workk

  • yea wait to rev it until its idling where it would on a warm day. witch should be below 1k...very stupid..

  • are you trying to destroy your engine? don't rev your engine to redline when it's cold dude. another thing you could do prior to starting the car after sitting for a long period of time is to remove the fuel injection fuses under the hood and crank the car to build oil pressure. nice car tho.

  • Sickk

  • Do you Premix?

  • Yeah it's idling waay to high. Mine does too sometimes. It's supposed to idle around 800 rpms.

  • They're supposed to do that in the warm up period.

  • i was thinkin the same, but isn't that still pretty high and too long even for a warm up?

  • i like how you were listening to beyonce lol

  • I used to have an 88 rx7. really nice car, i loved it.

  • u need petrol lol

  • lol the sound was way out

  • i'll trade you a 37.5 mpg Mx-5 miata for it.

  • i have a 1.8t gti too hahaha soo thanks ne wayy :)

  • I was going to replace my '90 RX-7 'vert with a 3'rd gen. Then I found an '88 Porsche 930 Turbo. The Porsche is amazing of course, but I kept the Rex, and it is still a blast to drive.

  • that idal is way to high

  • fag

  • could someone tell me where you get those gauges from

  • ebay

  • Its probably not a good idea to rev it out like that while its still cold. Your gonna shoot Apex seals out the exhaust hehe But I envy your Stock engine. I have a somewhat heavily modified TII my self Its an 89 and its black lol. K&N doesnt make an intake for the FC TII, in fact most companies dont because the engine is bitchy about the MAF. I had to custom make the intake on my RX7 and retro fit the MAF.

  • Not sure whether this has been ported or modded to be turbo but yo might want to consider a KN3 air intake. It improves your idle revs "tunability" by a large margin and you get a little more kick with the same rpm's.

  • Bac may be on the fritz.. Its only supposed to stay at 3000 for about 30 seconds before dropping to 1500 for about 1-2 min, then hit 750.

  • ahh the black beuty she lives again for another season

  • Would you consider selling your car at all?

My older brother used to have 2 Rx-7s, 89GXL and a scap car. Im not satisfied with anything but at 2nd gen Rx-7. Im considering looking for a future in rotary's.

    Help me out.

  • thee engine iz perfecto. and thee revolutions start at 2... so shvey iz rite.=D

  • no it is fine it is just the lagging of the computer because i have drove in that car and drove it because its mt brothers and the car has no electrical gremlins

  • Your tach is acting wierd because of a bad altenator. I had the same problem, the Tach is electronic rather than the old cable system. Low power will cause the computer to interperate head lights turning on and off to be engine revs lol. I fixed my car by changing the altenator. and judging by the color on the alts pully, your due for a change.

  • what the hell does that have to do with anything...hell who said anything about a tach? what the hell is going on?

  • lol....so confused....dont worry... i am too

  • Confusion is the black magic of the Rotary Engine. When you understand it, you can snatch a fly out of the air with chopsticks. Wax on.. Wax off...

  • in all seriousness what happened to your fuel gauge because mine is doing the same thing...how did u fix it if u did?

  • i fixed it by taking all the baking out and rebuilding it cost about 35 bux but wurth it

  • dero
