Might consider moving the launch hook further forward to help keep the nose down and build some speed. And make sure you're getting 5lbs of pull per lb of plane... I was a bit underpowered in my early attempts. A more accurate scale proved I was trying to launch with about 4lbs pull per lb airplane. 5 works MUCH better.
I'd be interested to see how your pully system works on the launcher.
