That's all waaay too smooth for stop motion, even done on 1s. All you need to look at is the hand that comes on screen, it's near impossible to get such a steady gesture with stopmotion. Least from what I've seen anyway.

I was thinking of stop motion at 24-30fps, not at 1fps. It looks totally fluid. But as is mentioned further on in this thread, it appears Li battery technology has played a big role in miniaturization. Motor technology too, no doubt!
